It is a great game with a great community. Not saying you can't have fun but don't trust everybody you meet. Awesome game to play with friends.

The Isle Review Review of The Isle on PC (Early Access) One type of tension is exciting, the other – not so much. The Isle has plenty of the first and precious little of the second, as its developers refuse to hold your hand throughout the game’s brutally long learning curve. Set on an unnamed island called Isla Spiro, the game tasks you with either playing as a dinosaur that grows from a tiny chick to a fearsome predator or a human survivor who knows how to take advantage of the limited opportunities to hunt down the creatures in this harsh land. But what The Isle wants to be, it does pretty well, providing a deep simulation with excellent graphics while asking the players to invest plenty of time and patience. Presentation and World The only thing that The Isle does right is its world – the game’s graphical qualities are nothing short of exceptional for an Early Access title. From dense woods to broad plains and fickle weather conditions, the game provides a humbling experience throughout the various biomes that Isla Spiro has to offer. Gameplay and Progression Another game design choice that The Isle handles masterfully is its progression system. While survival games typically allow you to level up and customize your character to your liking, The Isle provides an incredibly rewarding simulation where you have to grow older and stronger to have a chance at surviving another day. Playing as a dinosaur adds tremendous depth to the experience, forcing you to acknowledge your age and the potential risks that come with it. Speaking of which, the game’s tension is its best asset, stemming from the lack of control you have over the environment, other players, and even your own body. Multiplayer and other features Island’s unpredictability is its biggest upside, featuring prominently in the game in the form of multiplayer. With no control over the matches you can join, you are at the mercy of other players and encounter the most exciting stories and events in the game. The most thrilling moments for me were either narrowly avoiding being eaten or having my carefully laid plans foiled by an unwelcome surprise. Overall, The Isle delivers on its promise to provide a truly frightening survival experience that is unique in its approach and difficult to leave once you get invested. Issues and Criticism Unfortunately, not everything about The Isle is as delightful as one would expect from a game with such a promising formula. First of all, the game provides virtually no guidance, making early encounters frustrating as you attempt to understand how to interact with the environment or what actions will keep you alive. Moreover, the game’s reliance on servers to determine your progress means that some parts of The Isle can be significantly worse based on who you end up playing with. Finally, it is worth remembering that The Isle is still in early access and that the game’s problems are plentiful, stemming from its status as an unfinished product. I encountered numerous glitches, bugs, and issues during my playthrough, and new ones appear with each update, so it is best to enter this world with caution and realistic expectations. Overall Impression The Isle is an ambitious survival game that delivers on its promise to create a frightening experience. While my overall impression of it is one of a promising but ultimately flawed project, I feel that few games offer the same type of tension, relying on randomness and outside factors to shape the player’s experience. You will have to invest considerable time and patience to get to know The Isle , and the game will punish you for mistakes and negligence with a quick death. But once you get past these barriers, the survival gameplay and thrilling encounters will keep you entertained for hours. All in all, The Isle is a unique and rewarding game that asks much from the player in exchange for its frightening promise.
