No more single player - it is now a buggy and laggy multiplayer server mess that does not really meet the requirements to be called an "update" but does meet the requirements to be called a "downgrade".
What happened to my fun little single player game. This is not the game i paid for. This is not an update, its a completely new and worse game. The crafting is worse, the combat is worse, the building is worse, everything is worse than the single player game. Now its multiplayer only!! I spawned in, was surrounded by 3 NPC's, instant death. Spawned in again, ran out of town, killed by a big rock gollum thing, dead. Finally on the third try i spawned in a safe area. Tried to build a little house but man everything is just so jank and completely worse than before. I tried but after 2 hours i was done, uninstalling and i guess never playing this again. Give me back my single player game. I put so much time in that to finally grind to a full plate set and now i can't even go back and enjoy that game anymore. I was just getting to the point of being able to raid the castle by myself, and i was getting further into the hell world through the portals, now its all gone. Also i had a nice little hamlet built as well. Its all been replaced by forced multiplayer and super jank gameplay. I wouldn't care so much about the multiplayer if the game mechanics were exactly how they were in the single player game before this "update". I would have said before that the game has some charm and was fun and would have recommended it, but not now, it is so bad.
Rude community harasses players that leave reviews. I'd wait awhile for some updates before purchasing. If on sale and bored yeah it's a 10 dollar game but everything feels to quick and you get into steel very quickly. You can mine red/blue ores for exp and smelt the bars. Sell them to shop. build 10 furnaces and then buy all of the iron and coal ore you need for a ton of steel.
I did like this game. Put the hours in. Let you erase my game, and start over. That IS fine. But now you just took single player mode out. IM DONE.
This game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks. By the time you get to building ANY type of castle walls, towers and gates, the game becomes unplayable. and with the amount of time it take to find this out STEAM won't do a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing to refund your money. DON'T ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF ♥♥♥♥ GAME
You'll be crestfallen if you pay money for this. This is the only game in my library that I consider to be a cash grab scam. The game released with less content than its demo with only 3 paltry PoIs on a large map. There has been no appreciable content update since release, though they did release some DLC in the form of some horse skins. Oh, and they are very active about wiping servers. Guess that's easier than actually improving and finishing this "game," if you can call it that. DO NOT BUY!
The developer removed single player and the multiplayer servers are all empty with two players online. Need I say more?
As it stands right now I can't recommend this... It needs a Ton of balancing ie it should not require you to eat a whole Deer 's worth of meat to sate your hunger, 4 logs to make 2 planks? thats just stupid. The magic system needs a total rework as a gamer that loves survival games I had high hopes for this game and after a rough start I was doing well with a base and such, but the hunger discrepencies ruined the game play for me. I loved the dragon air drops but running into wolves every few steps as i retrieved them was annoying. ohhh and the repair kits only repairing 50 perc. was also stupid. 3 metel bars to repair a metal ax that take 7 metal to make for 50 perc. why have the non staking repair kit in the game.
Do not waste your money! 100000 promices of improvments that leave you have to start totally over as everything you do gets wiped within 24 hours. total garbage.
I purchaesd this game quite a while ago and found it a little raw but with unparalelled potential. I only played the single player version because that was what i was looking for. Now i learn that the developer has scrapped the single player version and the game is only multiplayer. To be honest i'm so disappointed, in my experience when they convert a single player game to multi player it losed everything that made it promising in order to accomodate a multiplayer mode. (ESO and Fallout 76 come to mind.) Is this where we are headed? Developers only developing multiplayer games? what a shame. As much as i loved this game as single player, i'd avoid it like the plague in multiplayer.
