The world’s collapse and the origins of the Infected are still being developed. For now, the focus is on survival systems and giving players freedom in how they play.
The Infected is in active Early Access development. Some features are still being added and balanced, and you may encounter bugs or performance issues. We’re a small team building this game with the help of community feedback. If you’re looking for a complete experience, you may wish to wait. However, if you want to help shape the development, we welcome you now!
The aim is to deliver a feature-rich survival crafting game with more systems and player choice than most of the genre. Survival can mean farming, base-building, or facing hostile AI — the choice is yours.

love the free play on this, customizable to difficulty you are wanting to play. great time killer.
"mom can I play green hell" "we have green hell at home" the green hell at home: I'm giving this one a thumbs-up because the dev is trying, and because it's overall competent. It doesn't do a lot actively WRONG, but it doesn't do much right either. Very tactile-not tactical, tactile-in that a fair few actions are done in-world; hauling animals and wood, sharpening tools, things like that; but not all, and not really enough. The primary loop of the game is, in fact, an idler. Your main source for important resources is Extractors, which produce critical resouces about every five minutes, and most of your interactions with the world will be to create more of these. There's fighting and exploration, but it borders on an afterthought; the backbone of the combat system is a shield, and the 'Katana' borders on a trap option. There's a nutrition system, and I applaud its inclusion, but it doesn't do much for the rest of the game-if your food bars all drop under 50% so does your Stamina cap, but you can leave one bar completely empty (protein, in my case) to only minor detriment. Most of the game's difficulty derives from unintuitive design decisions; for example, there's no Bucket item to gather water and water crops with, just your drinking bottles. The remaining two quarters are the idling, and learning enemy patterns in the combat system. Oh, and the dev hates guns-though if you can come up with a mechanic that hasn't been implemented in something else, make a good argument for its inclusion, and get interest from other players, there are good odds that he'll add it. At least it has no PVP.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

this sucker is rough feels like they slapped enough game together to list it and then abandoned it id refund if my dumbass had not left it running while i ran errands and surppased the time period
Wenn man die Texte noch in Deutsch ändern könnte würde es mehr Spaß machen, aber so ist das Spiel einfach nur Schlimm. Mann findet kaum sachen die man braucht um etwas zu bauen.
I am a city builder/sim player and this is my first try at a survival game - I am loving it. It is highly addictive and customizable to your preferred level of difficulty. I would suggest watching videos to get the mechanics of the game, though, it's not intuitive. Replayability is a 10, there are so many options to base building available. The dev is steadily improving the game so it's well worth the money.
The Infected is beautifully designed and tremendous fun to explore. I love exploring the cave systems. Can't wait to see where this goes. Enjoying every minute.
First off, did anyone else get irrationally pissed off when the zombie just walks on up to the door and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ OPENS the thing like he owns the damn place? Never in my life have I wanted to ♥♥♥♥♥ slap something so badly, until Gerald. Gerald started out in the front right side of the property, walking around like a little zombie grazing. Never bothered me, I never bothered him. I'd leave him a wolf corpse every now and then as an offering. It was a wonderful time, really! Well, one day, I was upstairs sawing more planks of wood, because I have a building obsession. It was a wonderful day outside, the sun shining in through the windows, sound of the water trickling downstream nearby. Ahh, but what do I hear all of the sudden? Something ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garden. ♥♥♥♥♥ don't TOUCH my pumpkins. So I figure it's a wolf or something, and walk over to the window to see. What do my eyes fall upon? G E R A L D . Just WALKING through the plants, drooling his zombie mouth juices all over them...infecting them... Now, I didn't want to scare Gerald or offend my neighbour, but a ♥♥♥♥♥ was stepping all over everything. I opened the front door and crept around the side, but he was already heading back to his part of the land. Perfect. No big deal. So I went back to sawing my life away. I'm very particular irl and in games about keeping the doors shut, etc., so I made sure all the doors were shut, then went up to the bedroom to sleep and regen the fatigue stat. Ahhh yes, a lovely sleep! Wait, what was that weird ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scream? Awe, is Gerald being the neighbourhood rooster? Great. Making my way downstairs, keeping my spear out and ready (obviously it wasn't a zombie impersonating a rooster, it was a a zombie screaming) I walked down to the kitchen area, where there'd be all three doors in sight. Door 1, nothing. Door 2, GERALDS FACE PRESSED AGAINST THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GLASS. What happens next? He just SWINGS that beautifully handcrafted wood door wide open, damn near shattering the glass window on it, and walks the ♥♥♥♥ inside like it's his home, and I'm the one trespassing. R.I.P. Gerald, but ♥♥♥♥ you bro. This game is outstanding, and I've been able to get a lot of my friends interested in it as well, as they can turn off the zombies and predators. I personally love the zombies and predator animals, so thank you for those, but a lot of people love to have the option to just chill and build. It's amazing that the developer(s) implemented that for those who don't want to be attacked at all times. They went as far as to allow you to customize the details of the zombies and animals. HP, Damage, where they spawn, etc. The building is great. A little finicky, but it's very enjoyable. I need more decorationsssssssssss because I'm a build freak lmao. The props they have are well done and fit the game well. While there's limited decoration props, you can make your base look pretty much however you want it to. There's a little something for everyone, really. Love the looting and vehicles. Love the mining and ore processing. Thank you so much for making rocks turn into iron. They did say that there will not be a multiplayer/co-op, which is sad but we have enough of those already, let's be honest. HOWEVER, I wanted to get that out there in case someone actually reads this review, and doesn't purchase hoping for it to be added in the future. I did run into a bug where I've put 4-8 hours a time into building, but when I open the game later, it reverts to my original save. This happened twice today, so I've started a new save to see if there's just an issue with that save specifically. Idk, probably somehow user error. THIS ERROR WAS FIXED WITH A FRESH INSTALL OF THE GAME!! So, if you're hesitant about buying this one, I highly recommend it. It can be your dream zombie survival, or your ideal forest survival.
Es ist ein tolles Spiel .... Egal was noch alles kommen wird... die spielstunden die ich da verbracht habe ... hatten immer spass gemacht
The game is a lot of fun. The developer made it so everyone can play no matter what your level. Everything in the option menu is customizable. The building is free form, which is what I like best. Vampies level can be set, so even a novice or an experienced player can have fun with them.
I'm enjoying it so far. I really like the cloud saves and that I can turn off the vambies completely! The support on Discord has been good too. Nice game and I look forward to what's next.
