sadly i dont see updates so i dont see anything coming from this game
Not very good.
It's just not there yet, hopefully they put a lot more work in to flesh this game out right now it is way too bare bones even for early access. Also very glitchy on Rift.
I got this game about a week ago, and I finally sat down to give it a try. I'm really enjoying it! When the sensors go off in the distance, and you cant see what's coming (only where its coming from) feels creepy cool. The atmosphere is great. There are some many VR games that feel dead and lack any atmosphere at all. Not the the homestead invasion, its dripping with it! It runs surprisingly well on my gtx 960 too. I tried the beta branch with the new arctic map, outpost 31, and it was really fun. The name is totally a nod to the movie "The Thing" which I enjoyed. Overall? This game is still in early access but I wholly recommend it.
I was expecting something akin to a CoD Zombies game, and while the game sort of delivered, it just feels unfinished. It's less of a "kill-until-your-last-breath" game and more of a "kill-until-the-guy-on-the-radio-says-you-can-leave" sort of game. That's totally fine, but there's just not much content and it feels like the dev did the classic steam cliche of leaving an EA game in EA. I hope that someday they return to finish the game, and if they do, I will change my review accordingly.
Very rough start. Maybe something decent will come of this some day. -2 Stages -Forced jittery targeting -No options menu -Very jittery movement and laggy in general -Radio guy hard to understand -Movement only follows controller Can't recommend in current form.
A tense and spooky wave-defense shooter executed well in VR. Having to rebuild defenses manually in VR on the fly adds an extra fun layer of dread. Looking forward to future releases and maps!
This little VR game is a surprisingly good time, even for being in early access right now. The gun play feels great, the gameplay is solid, and the barricading mechanic is something I'm surprised many more games aren't doing. Seriously, it's amazing. The way it's done here feels perfect, and the rush of throwing up a few more boards over a door to keep the monsters is awesome. The game feels well balanced and offers up a good challenge, it took a few runs though before I was able to beat the level. I'm really looking forward to more maps and game modes. All in all it's a great game that offers hours of fun in its current state and has tons of room to grow. For the price you can't really go wrong. It's also nice to see that the devs are working with the community and respond to feedback, I don't see that enough!
I really liked the concept of boarding up your space to keep yourself safe! It really adds an extra rush to the whole experiance! The monsters freaked me out too, they turly give you that "HEREs JOHNNY" thrill!
