Fun and engaging interactive ebook. A bit short but I had fun reading through it, so I'd recommend it.

This is a complicated one for me, I love Paul Wang as a writer and despite this being one of his earlier works its still very well-written and engaging to play. I would recommend this if you're interested in simple adventure fantasy roleplaying stuff. I kinda look at this like a worse version of the Sorcery! game series with a lot more choice as to what your character is like but much less choice overall. Despite this the inexperience of the author at the time shows since there's not a ton of character development and the biggest crux of all is the game design. If you play a mage you'll always use magic, a fighter always fights, bard always talks, rogue always sneaks, there's virtually no middle ground and it shows. Still for a game that can be completed in less than 4 hours its a very simple and well-written pulpy story even if the choice is quite simple. Paul Wang has improved significantly since this and his other books show a great deal of talent and thought put into them.

Tolles Game! Erinnert mich an die alten Pen&Paper Tage. Englischkenntnisse sind Voraussetzung wobei ich mit meinem Schulenglisch ganz gut zurecht kam, ein paar Begriffe musste ich Nachschlagen aber ansonsten ging es ziemlich gut voran. Lasst euch von den 4 Stunden Spielzeit nicht täuschen, habe es, wie andere Game of Choices Produkte, in ruhe Offline gespielt und bereits mehrmals durch. Kaufempfehlung an alle die auf Grafik und Sound verzichten und sich einzig und alleine von einer guten Story und Entscheidungsmöglichkeiten mitreissen lassen können.

I love these with all my heart. They are simple and a bit short. However the stories ups and downs are your fault alone. :3 This games are always fun.

The story is very basic. The paths are simple and follow your stats of might magic stealth and speech to put it simply. Aside from being incredibly simple with no plot twist or weighty decisions it also overly masculinizes women, while minor compared to the problem of it being incredibly basic it's a poor choice that takes away rather than adds quality to the story. If you just want something to pass the time with this may be a purchase for you, but if you have limited time and are looking for a good adventure I'd pass on this one.

Quoiqu'un peu court, je fus agréablement surpris par la qualité du texte, de l'intrigue et de l'immersion. Difficile de s'arrêter avoir d'avoir fini. J'espère qu'il y aura une suite... Je le recommande vivement à ceux qui ont toujours aimé les livres dont -on-est-le-héros et qui se débrouillent bien en anglais.
