About

The Headlands is a cozy farming strategy about a small Ukrainian village caught between two eras: Soviet machinery and an independent countryside on the verge of the 2000s. Ahead of you lies a run-down farm waiting for a new beginning.

Start small: an old tractor, a neglected field and limited resources. Step by step, work the land, sow the grain, bring in the harvest and gradually build a farm that runs on your decisions.
At the heart of the game are your own pace and balance. You decide which fields to work first, when to invest in new machinery and how to make the most of your time, fuel and grain. Market prices live a life of their own — and sometimes the price of grain shifts exactly when it is already in the truck bed. There are no timers pushing you and no sudden punishments — only thoughtful planning and steady, tangible progress.

Every tractor here is the one you saw in the fields as a child: the same engine, the same rattle, the same peeling paint. Maybe you even remember the moustachioed neighbour who once let you climb into the cab while he checked something under the hood — and you sat there alone like a cosmonaut in a spacecraft, studying every lever and every button.
Every machine in the game has its own character and story. And you won't be left alone with them: there is always a mechanic and mentor nearby who will advise you, and in his spare time will put together a machine that has no name in any catalogue.

Help your neighbours through contracts, unlock new opportunities and turn a small holding into a living, well-run farm.
Start small. Give the land time. And you'll see everything begin to grow.
🌾 Meditative strategy gameplay. Planning without rush and the freedom to choose your own pace.
🚜 Gradual farm growth. From a single tractor to a full holding with a large fleet and expanded buildings.
📦 A living market and resource balance. Time, fuel and harvest are all connected, and prices won't wait until you are ready.
🔧 Machines with character. Dozens of vehicles with a history — from the mechanic's homemade "masterpieces" to heavy combines.
🏭 Your own production — set up supply chains and sell finished goods for more than raw materials.
🤝 Contracts and village life. Help your neighbours and develop the region together.

Really cool game if you like farming. I'm usually not much into management games, but this one is very well done so far. Definitely worth the price. Not sure about the replay value yet since it's in early access, but what is here is really good, especially considering it's made by one person. It has a lot of the same qualities of Farming Simulator, but on a much smaller scale, which is not a bad thing. I thought I would hate not driving the machines myself, but I really like the way this game flows. You can go as fast as you want or take your time and play at your own pace. There is no pressure to take contracts until you are ready. I recommend it 100%.

like farmin sim but better
mmmm tractor
Probably my favourite farming game. When I see those good old soviet era vehicles, something makes me happy as I saw these on the fields and roads. Waiting for the upcoming updates! 10/10 - A fellow Hungarian fan
Yeah, this is okay. It all seems to work fine, and while some additional information and tooltips would be nice, and some QOL stuff would also be appreciated, I didn't run into any bugs in my nearly 7 hours so far. I played the demo first, and it's pretty much the same thing, so give the demo a try if you're not sure (saves don't carry over from the demo "older version," just FYI). The problems right now are the normal EA problem of just not having much to do at this point and you're trusting them to complete the game at some point (there is maybe 6 hours of content or so right now if you don't rush and don't speed up time much), along with the issue of it just being way too easy to make money. Anything you plant seems to make money, and you can just do the contracts non-stop for pretty much unlimited cash. These two issues combine to the point that by the time I got the "no more content" message I hadn't even gotten any large tractors yet, and I had only bought two fields (so five total fields). I'd also say that all of the equipment feels the same other than the ability to run less passes on a field when you plant with a wider planter/cultivator/etc., but this is a time management game and not a farming sim, so it's not really a "problem" in the way a lack of content and super-low difficulty are problems. Right now this all works and there just isn't much to it yet. If the EA status is legit and they add a ton more content, this will be a fun casual game for sure. 2080ti, I9, 32GB ram - I think this game would run on just about any PC that's still able to turn on.
So far so good, I already finished the existing story quests. I'm looking forward to see what's coming. Hope the developer doesn't give up the project like others. Strongly recommending.
Гра з великим потенціалом, дуже сподобалась, сподіваюсь на якісні оновлення)
