About
"The Girl In White" is an emotive story focusing on youthful, high-school love and those wistful, almost fantastical feelings that everyone has experienced at least once.

Long, a high school senior, accidentally discovers the existence of the Dream Corridor—a realm that bridges the living and the dead. Within it lies an endless hallway lined with doors, each one connecting distant corners of the world.
That is why, in dreams, we find ourselves transported across vast distances in the blink of an eye.
But the discovery comes with an unintended side effect: Long gains the ability to see wandering spirits. What seems like a miracle at first quickly reveals itself to be more of a nightmare, as he realizes that restless Ghosts have always Surrounded Us—unseen, until now...

More than just your typical story-driven game, this is where action meets introspection.
Beyond battling wandering spirits in the mortal realm, you’ll also be answering delightfully absurd quizzes that reveal hidden sides of your personality—even the ones you didn’t know existed.

All I can say is WOW... so Just like this game I had AI write me a review for it "1/10 STEAM PEAK PLAYERS PER GAME (AND THAT'S ONE TOO MANY) The Girl In White Played: 1 hour (then refunded faster than the dev's career) Buckle up, folks—this is peak "Hot Garbage Games" material. "The Girl In White" promises high-school romance, ghost-busting dreams, turn-based dungeons, and "bizarre personality quizzes." What it delivers? A dumpster fire so hot, it makes asset flips look like Elden Ring. Store page screams scam from jump: AI-generated title screen and cutscenes (they admit it!), zero screenshots that show actual gameplay, no trailer. Description rips off every generic JRPG trope—dream corridors? Wandering spirits? Loot "questionable gear"? Bro, this ain't innovative; it's ChatGPT on bath salts. Launch day: Nov 12, 2025. All-time peak players? 1. Current? 0. Followers? Laughable 27. Reviews? Zilch. In 6 weeks, not a soul cared enough to drop feedback. Dev Succubella Games (solo outfit, natch) slapped this BabylonJS web-port slop on Steam, jacked it to $8, then "discounted" to $2 'cause no one bites full price on vaporware. Gameplay? Turn-based "dungeon crawling" that's just mashing through empty hallways with placeholder enemies. Quizzes? Absurdity levels off the charts—think "What's your spirit animal: A) Ghost B) Broke dev." Combat crashes your potato PC (min specs from 2007, but runs like 1997). Story? High schooler sees ghosts, falls in "love"—ends in 45 mins if you don't ragequit. Free DLC "Afterstory"? Probably just a .txt file saying "Thanks for the $2." Refunded in 12 mins flat. Valve, nuke this. Dev, stick to AI waifu generators. TL;DR: 1 player peak = 1 too many. Pure Steam landfill fodder."
Warning: AI Slop This e-book is completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content.
This isn't a game. It's a digital e-book/visual novel masquerading as a game on Steam. There isn't any actual gameplay here, just clicking through some of the worst writing to insult the concept of literature. This is the kind of writing that would never be accepted by a real book publisher, leading to this being dumped onto Steam Direct for $100 as if it was a game... it's not. Succubella Games/DIG Games have now moved into 100% AI slop... ChatGPT writing, Diffusion model AI slop images, the entirety of this RPG Maker e-book is AI slop. This is basically a scam from a known asset flipper to get paid for 30 minutes of AI slop prompting. There's nothing real or human in this, it's pure slop, an e-book about some anime garbage with AI slop pictures and AI slop writing. Visual novels are tedious at best. Imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or Twilight (kidding), but translate it to a format where you've to click your mouse for every single sentence instead of just turning pages. You'd think it was garbage. Now imagine that clicking experience, but with utterly soulless AI slop instead of real writing. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. Those technical issues put this E-Book beneath what is expected from a contemporary, professionally developed PC game. The poor quality of this E-Book is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the E-Book all-time peak reader count was only ONE reader. That's right, only one person ever played this at a time. When I played this for the purposes of reviewing it, I equalled the peak reader count for the E-Book. OUCH. The only reader activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 130 million gamers on Steam and well over 140,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality E-Book is to be expected. Let's look at the price and what kind of value this actually offers gamers. Should you buy this E-Book? Is it one of the best of the 140,000+ games on Steam? The Girl In White has the comically over-optimistic price of around $8 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical nature of the developer. For comparison, the $8 asking price for this E-Book could get you games like "Hearts of Iron IV", "Monster Hunter World" or "Mirror's Edge". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this. Ethics aside, the quality problems and defects with this E-Book makes the asking price totally unrealistic. It's impossible to recommend this to gamers here on Steam, especially considering the unethical stuff going on. The use of AI slop is a direct insult to gamers and real, ethical content creators and artists everywhere. AI models are trained on copyrighted intellectual property without permission from the owners.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this E-Book as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the E-Book (to date). Until this status changes, this E-Book will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this E-Book.
The Girl In White is a narrative-focused RPG developed and published by DIG Games that blends supernatural mystery, youthful romance, and traditional role-playing elements into a surprisingly heartfelt experience. Built around themes of dreams, loss, self-discovery, and first love, the game places storytelling at the center of the experience while using dungeon exploration and turn-based combat to support its emotional narrative. Rather than aiming for large-scale fantasy adventure, it focuses on a more personal and introspective journey that explores the uncertainty of adolescence through a paranormal lens. The story follows Long, a high school senior whose life changes after discovering the existence of the Dream Corridor, a mysterious realm connecting the worlds of the living and the dead. This unusual setting serves as the foundation for much of the game's intrigue. The concept of an endless hallway filled with countless doors creates a sense of wonder and mystery from the beginning, while also providing a believable framework for the supernatural events that unfold. As Long develops the ability to perceive wandering spirits, he becomes increasingly entangled in secrets that blur the line between reality and dreams. What starts as curiosity gradually evolves into a deeper exploration of life, death, memory, and human connection. One of the game's most appealing qualities is how it handles its emotional themes. The narrative places considerable emphasis on relationships, personal growth, and the bittersweet nature of growing up. Romantic elements are woven naturally into the plot, giving players a reason to become invested in the characters beyond the supernatural mystery. The writing often favors atmosphere and emotional resonance over dramatic spectacle, creating a slower-paced but more thoughtful experience. Players who enjoy visual novels and character-driven stories will likely appreciate the game's focus on emotional storytelling. The RPG mechanics add another layer to the experience. Players venture through dangerous areas inhabited by hostile spirits, engaging in classic turn-based battles while collecting equipment and improving their abilities. The dungeon-crawling structure helps break up the story sequences and provides a sense of progression throughout the adventure. Combat is familiar rather than revolutionary, but it serves its purpose well by giving players meaningful interactions between major story moments. Exploration, character growth, and encounters with supernatural enemies reinforce the feeling that Long is becoming increasingly involved in a hidden world beyond ordinary human perception. A particularly distinctive feature is the inclusion of personality quizzes scattered throughout the game. These segments are designed to encourage self-reflection while adding variety to the overall experience. While unusual for an RPG, they fit surprisingly well with the game's themes of identity and personal understanding. The quizzes help make the adventure feel more interactive on an emotional level, encouraging players to think about themselves while learning more about the characters and world around them. The visual presentation complements the narrative effectively. Anime-inspired character artwork and illustrated scenes help bring emotional moments to life, while dreamlike environments reinforce the game's supernatural atmosphere. The contrast between ordinary school life and the mysterious Dream Corridor creates a strong visual identity. The artwork succeeds in establishing both the warmth of youthful romance and the eerie uncertainty of encounters with spirits, allowing the game to shift between comfort and tension without losing its sense of cohesion. What ultimately makes The Girl In White memorable is its commitment to mood and storytelling. The supernatural elements are not simply used for horror or action but as tools for exploring human emotions and relationships. Dreams become symbolic spaces where fears, hopes, and memories intertwine, while ghosts represent unresolved feelings and hidden truths. This thematic consistency gives the story a sense of purpose beyond its immediate plot, making the journey feel more meaningful than a standard fantasy adventure. The game is not without limitations. Players seeking deep strategic combat systems or highly complex RPG mechanics may find that the gameplay takes a secondary role to the narrative. Most of the experience is designed around character interactions, world-building, and emotional development rather than mechanical depth. However, for those willing to embrace its story-focused approach, the game offers a rewarding blend of romance, mystery, and supernatural exploration. The Girl In White succeeds as a heartfelt indie RPG that combines visual novel storytelling with classic role-playing mechanics. Its intriguing Dream Corridor concept, emotionally driven narrative, supernatural themes, and memorable atmosphere create an experience that stands out within the genre. While its gameplay systems may not be groundbreaking, the strength of its storytelling and thematic ambition make it a worthwhile journey for players who appreciate character-focused adventures filled with mystery, emotion, and reflection.
A deeply meaningful story that stays with players long after the game ends
