About

Scavenge and fight for your next day alive under the shadow of gargantuan war machines. Enemies in the game can literally tower over the battlefield. To put it another way:

The battlefield is unpredictable thanks to The Forever Winter’s Dynamic Encounter system: enemies have their own goals and agendas, operating in coordinated groups, undertaking full-scale battles — and they’ll intelligently react to your actions. The battlefield you leave won’t be the same one you return to.
Use your wits, stealth, and skilled gunplay to make it out alive. Choose your path in the shadow of the two great superpowers, loot the dead, and make it out alive. While the warring factions may ignore you at first, the more disruptive you become to their goals, the more they'll seek to remove you from the equation.
Ecological collapse compounded by runaway technological advancement brought us here: a dystopian world choked by 40 years of industrial-scale violence between two military superpowers, AI automata, cybernetically enhanced soldiers, human-machine hybrids, and relentless automated warfare. There's two sides to this war, and you're not on either.

Reviews
Dystopian tactical team shooter that happens to be a survival game.
This game has a very dark but invigorating story mode that you can jump on play a few rounds and be done all within an hour or you can dig in and hit it hard for a couple of hours. It is feasible to play as a solo player but also exciting to play as a squad. Game play is fairly easy to pick up which makes it fun to play.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

One of the best war atmospheres I've ever experienced in a game. The game delivers a strong sense of tension from the very first run. I had some issues trying to get into the game initially, but I'm recommending it in the hope that the technical problems will eventually be fixed.
I bought this game near when it first came out because of how good it's art direction was. I since hadn't touched it, but after booting it back up recently, it's clear how much love the devs have put into every aspect of it. If you're looking for a polished game with no bugs or little frustrations, Forever Winter isn't quite there yet. But if you're willing to look past the jank (and the terrible time-based mechanics) than this game is a real treat.
i don't like the tunnel system tarkov don't have that and its far better you just need to do quest to get new map, same for road to vostok where you can go everywhere something you can make you don't need to scrap tunnel map you can make one big map of tunnel clearly for new player its boring
great art
I guess my experience is in line with most here; It needs far more work to get it enjoyable. But the outlines are very good. This could be a gem, I hope the devs don't **** it up. The atmosphere, the artwork, the horror, the sci fi. It all there. But for now, not yet fun to play. But I dare to fund the game and hope to see this one gets what it deserves. Maybe you should to.
For a game thats early access this has some very awesome potential and already a ton of fun to play
Steam needs a neutral rating, as Forever winter needs one. I've modified this review over the hours I've played, and I think that's basically the norm as Forever winter is a game that's different. My review basically went from, "I hated it but I paid for it, so I gotta do my due diligence" to "I think I kinda understand what is going on here?" I think Forever winter needs a lot of work, I won't deny that, but it has some charm to it, charm being an odd word to use for such a grim dark experience. Maybe fundog will pull out with the win, maybe not, but the experience is worth it, but you will be frustrated. You will be frustrated not because of fair gameplay mechanics or even difficult mechanics, but mechanics that were added and never bug fixed. Some of the most annoying and bug ridden mechanics have issues that should of been fixed ages ago. Here is a list, along with a small explanation that is in no way exhaustive. Gravestone moves when you die-------- this makes corpse runs comically difficult, as your items are placed somewhere near where you died. What a disaster.. This is the the only way you can collect your hard earned items. Fun dog gave us the ability to grab our stuff, die again as long as you pick it up, sadly it moves around which is just due to spaghetti coders. enemy detection is sadly all over the place----- When the sneaking and detection system works, it's amazing. When the detection system fails, which is honestly so consistent, I'm unsure why it was implemented in such a poor state. Giant mechs won't see you at all, infantry will allow you to walk or sprint past so close you bump shoulders, drones flying overhead will ignore you almost entirely it seems, but a random eurasian infantry will spot you, at night, in the shadows and fog from 300 meters away. This system breaks immersion completely. Some quest items are incredibly hard to find, while other quest items are far to easy, they're all supposed to be random!----- sums it up. Forever winter is plagued with issues, "but it's alpha!" Fun dog released this years ago, stop adding spaghetti coded random stuff and fix the stuff they have so far.
un excelent jeu que je recommande fortement à toute personne fan de jeu d'extraction. Même pour une early access il est top. Quelques bugs encore mais rien de bloquant pour jouer
