About

Scavenge and fight for your next day alive under the shadow of gargantuan war machines. Enemies in the game can literally tower over the battlefield. To put it another way:

The battlefield is unpredictable thanks to The Forever Winter’s Dynamic Encounter system: enemies have their own goals and agendas, operating in coordinated groups, undertaking full-scale battles — and they’ll intelligently react to your actions. The battlefield you leave won’t be the same one you return to.
Use your wits, stealth, and skilled gunplay to make it out alive. Choose your path in the shadow of the two great superpowers, loot the dead, and make it out alive. While the warring factions may ignore you at first, the more disruptive you become to their goals, the more they'll seek to remove you from the equation.
Ecological collapse compounded by runaway technological advancement brought us here: a dystopian world choked by 40 years of industrial-scale violence between two military superpowers, AI automata, cybernetically enhanced soldiers, human-machine hybrids, and relentless automated warfare. There's two sides to this war, and you're not on either.

pretty good game play. very unforgiving. if the movement was polished up, deployable walls added and weapons to destroy all larges enemies as high risk high reward rather then needing to hide with end game gear. then arc raiders would have the pve base come here since you no longer need a god pc to play. I love arc raiders but the game is unplayable due to cheaters. forever winter earned every penny for being pve but still hell trying to live also very needed... color to loot rarity. helps new players know whats better and also a good feeling when you have no idea what you just found but its good and you need to make it out
active devs, lots of cool concepts, and the improvements are pretty steady. Im very excited for whats coming

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I'm really enjoying this game experience. This is not a run and gun type game, you need to survive where almost everything can (and will) kill you. While there are some bugs and weird stuff happening sometimes, it is still fun for me.
has goods and bads. i like the goods and the bads are manageable
so far its pretty cool. it has amazing graphics and fun gameplay. but i imagine it would be way more fun to play with someone. from what i have played so far the story is really good.

It's really good, if you're into the art concept. I'm completely blown away by the setting, map design, and art direction. It's seriously next level and carries the experience. Gameplay loop is co-op extraction shooter fare, but in the middle of an ongoing 3 way war featuring infantry, mechs, tanks, helicopters, and psychotic cyborg zombies. Every run has just the right amount of tension. Every second you're hoping a stray rocket doesn't hit you, or that a distracted enemy doesn't turn around. Maps are ginormous too, which was a shock considering how tight the art direction is. This game has jank though. NPCs act kind of weird sometimes, the game can throw random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at you like dying right out of spawn. Mantling and jumping work 99% of the time, but that 1% will send you flying or result in your death at the hands of murderous NPCs. AI behavior, although spectacular on the battlefield, is clearly pretty rudimentary. If you have any appreciation for great art, like extract shooters, and have tolerance for jank, this is a no brainer purchase.
I genuinely had to kill over 120 Euruskan infantry units for one (1) single semi-common component so I could finally get my repair bench up and running. I have never been edged so hard to the point I was frothing at the mouth if I got a hint that a single Euruskan squad was on the map (10/10)
