About

Scavenge and fight for your next day alive under the shadow of gargantuan war machines. Enemies in the game can literally tower over the battlefield. To put it another way:

The battlefield is unpredictable thanks to The Forever Winter’s Dynamic Encounter system: enemies have their own goals and agendas, operating in coordinated groups, undertaking full-scale battles — and they’ll intelligently react to your actions. The battlefield you leave won’t be the same one you return to.
Use your wits, stealth, and skilled gunplay to make it out alive. Choose your path in the shadow of the two great superpowers, loot the dead, and make it out alive. While the warring factions may ignore you at first, the more disruptive you become to their goals, the more they'll seek to remove you from the equation.
Ecological collapse compounded by runaway technological advancement brought us here: a dystopian world choked by 40 years of industrial-scale violence between two military superpowers, AI automata, cybernetically enhanced soldiers, human-machine hybrids, and relentless automated warfare. There's two sides to this war, and you're not on either.

I love TFW, It's the ONLY extraction style game I like. The world and the artstyle is amazing and it makes me wanna see more, It got me hooked instantly. It gives me chills everytime I'm scavenging and I hear/see a firefight happening nearby or when I get a night map and I have to be at my best when it comes to stealth. I really hope this game gets the praise it deserves. Yes I understand the devs can make mistakes, but mistakes can be fixed and values can be changed. As for me, I do hope they can fix the "aggro" system that is going on at the time of this review. I hope my review helped you decide if you're gonna give this game a try. I am pleased with the experience I got and I hope you have a good time as well!
seems really cool, but crashes non-stop. keeping it in my library and rooting for these guys

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's probably the most overrated game. It's not finished. Please, developers, finish the game!!!! It has potential! thank you!
Preface: Bought this for $14.99, it's Early Access, and I only played an hour so far. Overall, I recommend it for sci-fi, horror, extraction players but it needs some more time and polish. I'm giving it some grace because it is in Early Access. I'm assuming it will be further optimized by 1.0. Get it on sale though, for full price ($30) it's definitely too janky right now. The GOOD: The vibe is amazing! Art style, music, and world design are all top notch! Seeing a war go on around where everything seems bigger and more deadly than you is great. I really look forward to exploring this world more. It's a dark, grim, scary world that Warhammer 40k could learn from. I like that it's a PVE extraction shooter, because I'm not good at PVP. The BAD: It's definitely janky right now. I recommend lowering the settings because it feels unoptimized. Sound has been a mixed bag. Some shooting sound FX come off really weird. Shooting and movement feel stiff, but maybe this improves with upgrades? I'll definitely play more. Planning to play with others on multiplayer, level up some of the 6 classes, and try new parts of the game out.
I really want to recommend this game but I can't. Despite the cool concept and some interesting designs the gameplay is rough at the best of times and miserable at the worst. Even after nearly 2 years in early access there is still so much jank and just a complete lack of any kind of polish; not to mention all of the frankly terrible and baffling design choices that litter the game. I was going to list the issues, but the list would be so long and i have so little faith that any of those issues would be addressed i don't see the point. All that being said i still find myself coming back to this game and having a good time with it. Plus the art design and music is incredible.
Only after a few minute of playing, I could already tell how unpolished and buggy of a mess this game is. On my first boot of the game, it deadass just didn't work. I had to validate my files all over again THEN it works. Shortly after, I fall off a ledge, teleport back to the top but not on the ledge! No! I spawned where I had already fallen, so, I kept falling till I died :D Idc if its early access, this is unplayable and unsatisfying to play to the point where it shouldn't have been released.
Ultra buggy, clunky, badly designed, cheating mess of a pig with a bow on it. Avoid at all costs unless you're a masochist.
