Reviews
Eu não tenho palavras para descrever o quão bom é esse jogo. The First Berserker: Khazan é um jogaço com J maiúsculo.
Started as a "meh." Ended as a "damn, that was actually really good." People keep calling this "anime Sekiro." It's not. Having a parry mechanic doesn't automatically make every game Sekiro. This plays much more like a traditional Souls-like with its own identity (gave me some Elden Ring vibes towards the end). The early game is pretty forgiving, but don't let it fool you—some bosses get real hard 💀. Regular enemies stay easy for almost the entire game 🥱, so most of the challenge comes from boss fights. The farming system wasn't my favorite since it mostly revolves around repeating summon encounters instead of running through enemy-filled areas. Those encounters were also the only place where I noticed some awkward gameplay issues, especially with stamina and when fighting around stairs. As for completionists: don't summon spirits for boss fights. Overall, probably the best Souls-like I've played that wasn't made by FromSoftware. Looking forward to this studio's next game.
Jogão
Excellent game, much more enjoyable than the typical souls-like, underrated.
good very good.
I'm up to mid-game i think and I'm enjoying it! I'm a big fan of Sekiro, so I'm happy to see them implementing parries and posture buildup. I wish they can make the perfect parry more obvious and satisfying, cause I can't tell the normal parries and perfect parries when there's so much going on. I personally don't care about the lore of this game, so I appreciate how the items just tell you what they do in a short phrase
BEST GAME EVER INVENTED
Khazan is an action RPG that borrows enough souls-like elements that it might as well be called one. The difficulty sits somewhere between the two genres when played on expert, though I found the final boss added a good few hours to my playtime in the end. I'd say it's biggest strength is in the combat. It has great animations and sound effects to make it extremely satisfying. It's a pretty edgy game, but I won't deny I enjoyed aura farming from time-to-time. You get a lot of equipment chucked at you that can be quite cumbersome to manage, but at the same time it's fun (and almost necessitated by some bosses in my opinion) to experiment with changing your build and playstyle. The skill tree is also interesting In that regard, and the loadout system is very helpful, but it's a bit annoying that you can't link phantom abilities to loadouts. Outside of that, I was impressed with a lot of the environment and enemy designs, as well as the different looks for the gear you acquire. The music is also pretty solid throughout, with a few really good boss themes as well. There are some recognisable actors and some decent performances, but overall I did feel that the voices were a bit flat. As for the story; it's okay. I think it had a lot of potential but doesn't quite live up to it. A lot of interesting reveals are just fed through exposition, and so many characters are quite underdeveloped. It's a shame because I thought many of the side characters could have played a bigger role in the story and had more emotional weight. Overall, I'd definitely recommend playing. It's a fun and sometimes very challenging experience.
