The Fairy's Secret

A really enjoyable sequel to one of my favourite visual novels. Marnie and Lisbeth are such a cute couple, I would happily read tons of VNs starring them!

Continuation of the first part. you can play it alone but I don't recommend it. both parts are great and definitely worth a few euros to play. beautiful drawing, simple but beautiful story.

While the character and CG artist is the same as for the first game, their work is noticeably improved in The Fairy's Secret. The old background art, music, and UI are carried over from the previous game for consistency, but their are additional scenes, tracks, and even UI elements that enhance the sequel. I liked the plot threads that were carried over from the first game; it was interesting to see more of Linette and of Edmund (btw, if you saw a review that says there's romantic content between Edmund and Lisbeth, it's plain wrong lmao. Their relationship is explicitly anti-romantic and even antagonistic at times). I also really liked Marnie's grandmother, particularly the way her age is written. She's not necessarily feeble or frail, but she needs more help around the house than a young woman would, and the game doesn't shy away from Marnie's worries about her aging grandmother. It's a bit sad, but realistically so (speaking as someone who's lost all their grandparents and has quite a few aged aunts and uncles). There's a lot of fun slice-of-life date moments to be had here, but the dramatic plot thread is never forgotten - it leads you through the story right up to the, honestly, [i]epic[/i] climax. Everything is completely on point for the story's final scenes: the writing, the pacing, the art and music - even the programming does some noticeably interesting things with the game's art and movement. All of this came together to really hook me, and I absolutely could not stop reading. If you liked the first game, this sequel is definitely worth your time. It delivers a plethora of Marnie & Lisbeth moments, sweet and serious alike, keeping a similar tone with the first game but improving upon all aspects.

The Fairy's Secret is a superbly well-written yuri fantasy VN. Though it is the sequel to The Fairy's Song, I believe that it carries much weight on its own and indeed is the potential springboard for future, related visual novels. The central characters, Lisbeth and Marnie are well supported by three major characters, Edmund, Jane/Linette(?) and Grandma Iris, each of whom play a key role in the story development. The artwork, music and UI are very well done but may I underline that the artwork is no less than excellent as we approach and experience the climactic scenes. In summary, a beautifully written ebi-hime fantasy not to be missed.

A competent sequel on the same level as the prequel with the same snarky British narration I liked and a plot that’s pretty corny but with some cute romance moments. I kinda miss Lisbeth’s fish out of water nature but her and Marnie starting in a relationship and showing affection throughout the VN is nice.

这个是The Fairy's song的续作，前作我玩了一年之后才发现有续作，感觉非常惊喜！这一部里面玛妮和莉丝贝依旧非常甜蜜啊，好多撒狗粮的片段，让我看了感觉真是太耀眼啦哈哈，不过非常可爱，我很喜欢她们去主题公园和海边玩耍（约会）的片段，真是可可爱爱小情侣，她们的泳装立绘都很可爱~还有就是，没想到在最后能见到莱奥菲，她和玛妮长得好像啊，但是要活泼得多，听她说话意思应该是把自己的好朋友莉丝贝交给玛妮了，来自祖母的认可哈哈哈。不过埃德蒙出场变多了，不太适合不能接受男性出现在百合游戏的玩家，接受不了的话请忽略掉他吧！还有就是，我很喜欢公主抱的cg，前作好像是玛妮接住了莉丝贝，这次换莉丝贝接住了玛妮，真是太帅气太可靠啦，我好喜欢~o(*￣▽￣*)ブ❤ 顺便一提，从骑士的战斗力来排序的话，莱奥菲应该是最强的，然后就是莉丝贝，再到埃德蒙吧.jpg虽然莉丝贝提到她不是真正的骑士，但在我看来她是一个非常非常好的骑士。某种意义上来说，莉丝贝在物理方面保护着玛妮，玛妮在精神方面保护着莉丝贝，互相保护的感觉真好啊~也就是互相为对方的骑士吧~UWU
