The Escape

Broken right now, joining each other lobbies is impossible, I have managed to get in a friends lobby but then when the game is started my screen turns completely grey and can just move my cursor around. I would wait with buying this until the developer fixes these game breaking issues. ----- Edit ----- The developer contacted me (super nice guy) and we debugged the issues apperently you have to do some port forwarding to get the lobby joining issue fixed. Port 7777 has to be forwarded on the hosts end. The grey screen is fixed aswel. I will leave the review on "Bad' until I played thru it atleast once. Because I have to review the game and not the developer. ----- Edit ----- So now that everything works for me, I have finished the game, everything works properly so I am going to set the game to "Recommend" however I do think the game is not worth 10 bucks the way it is right now. I would spent like 4 - 5 bucks on this. The idea of the game is awesome and hopefully they will release more maps and stuff soon.

The escape game mode can be played with 2 to 4 players online where your simple objective is to cooperate with your friends using clues around the map to escape the office. On the other hand, the hide and seek game mode can be played on two maps, office or house. The hide and seek game mode is truly unique because you don't just hide behind a couch and hope that your non-blind friend can't find you. YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO HIDE AND SEEK. I won't spoil the rest of the game for you as it's fun, challenging, and somewhat playfully frustrating for you and your friends. [h1]State of Development BREAKDOWN:[/h1] So far since launch on Dec 29, 2017 there have been these many changes; [list] [*]7 UPDATES [*]24 Additions [*]62 Things Fixed [*]21 Changes [/list] I would also like to note that it's only been 18 days since the official release as of writing this review and this early-access game with three developers has already had 7 updates that fixed many, if not ALL game breaking issues. Some other features that you might take for granted include Steam and Twitch integration. As for the graphics, all of the models are high quality and it's very pleasing to the eye. What I'm really impressed about is that they're a small development team and they've managed to do so much in a little amount of time. They're definitely learning and there will be issues here and there, but they're constantly patching and improving the game. Other than that, it's not very hardware intensive, but I wouldn't try playing it on your calculator, yet... [h1]IS IT WORTH IT??[/h1] This is the big question, which is most likely why you're reading this review. It is currently $7 / £5.19 / €6,99. In my opinion, reasonable price. It used to be $10, players argued that it wasn't worth that much, maybe they were right so the developers decreased the price. Is there enough content? It depends on what you consider enough. Whatever gives me a serious amount of enjoyment and fun is enough for me and I've already played 16 hours so far with my friends and some strangers. It's definitely not a traditional hide and seek or puzzle game, it doesn't just try meet the status quo, that's why I like it. I want this game to Escape my library. (Joke credit to my friend: Awake). - Game starts in 640 x 480 and the buttons go out of place of the text. So that's annoying to click through. - The resolution options take 10 years to scroll down, and by the time I get my res my finger has died. Oh, and the ends of the res numbers are cut off, much like I want my finger to be. - 1st time playing, got disconnected at 52 minutes. - 2nd time playing, got stuck in a office booth by a chair and the side wall of booth. Had to restart. - 3rd time playing, Options and video settings got stuck on screen while I could still play. Couldn't undo it, was matrix of damn options and the game screen went dark automatically because it assumed I was changing the bloody settings. After 5 minutes of clicking I un-glitched it and said "Ayyy I fixed it" and then we got DISCONNECTED. Great game if you're blind, a double arm amputee, have immobility syndrome or are dead.

Tout d'abord, le jeu est paru aujourd'hui , donc serveur non actif mais... on vois dans le menu (certe pour l'instant on a acces seulement au menu ) mais il y a le detail le plus minim de realisée se qui me dit que se jeu vas être prometteur , maintenat faut que les serveurs puissent etre à jour souvent pour garder une qualité de jeu optimal maintenant il ne faut pas jugé un jeu qui est paru aujourd'hui (29dec 2017) ,cest normal que le jeu n'est pas encore actif donc ne pas faire de jugement negatif sur un jeu qui n'est pas encore activé dans les serveurs voila , meme si il n'est pas activé, je le recommande car il permet de pouvoir jouer en co-op 4 joueur , serveur publique ou privé , se qui donne vraiment envie de pouvoir essayer ce jeu d'escape game

Great game looking forward to buying it with all my friends

Haven't played too much but honestly so far me and my friends have really enjoyed playing this game together. It's a relaxing game i'll give it that. I've seen some criticism here and there but I don't think people actually understand how small the development team is and what they've currently produced. I'm looking forward for the future to see what else this game has to offer. Keep it up.

In the short time that I have played this game i found it very enjoyable, it is a game that is hard to get bored of. Overall it is a good game to play with friends it's pretty simple, definitely worthy of your money as it has a bunch of potential!

This game is really fun to mess around in with your friends with the hide and seek game mode. the escape mode is very clean and very compliated and very well put out. Yes its a early game and there has been bugs but the devs been working hard to fix these bugs and you got put in consideration that the game just game out about a couple weeks ago and ever since it dropped then been improving and fixing the game in the future i think it will be a very awesome game to have in your libary.

Sounds promissing, not playable yet. Multiplayer only with 3 people possible but we are getting timeouts after a few minutes. Please patch soon!
