About
A Pulp Adventure Thriller from the minds that brought you Peridium and Crawl.
An engrossing roller-coaster of a story- Drawing on King, Crichton and Carpenter, with a dash of 70s Aussie grindhouse.
Point 'n Click or Controller- Unique twin-stick controls make The Drifter as comfy to play on the couch as at your PC.
Bursting with raw crunchy pixel art and high-impact animation.
Professionally voice acted, with a brooding dark-synth cinematic score.
Mick Carter's been drifting a while now- moving from job to job, never staying one place long. Jumping a box-car to his old home town, he witnesses a violent murder, is pursued by hi-tech soldiers, thrown in a reservoir and drowned.
And that's just the start of Mick's problems.
His consciousness ripped away, thrust back into his own body seconds before his death...
Framed for the killing he witnessed, tormented by his own past, and haunted by the feeling that something followed him back from the other side...
Follow Mick as he's sucked headfirst into a lunatic web of shadowy corporations, murder, and the thousand-year obsession of a madman.
The Drifter is our take on a classic 2d point and click adventure, with the brake-lines cut. The focus is on fast-paced storytelling, with puzzle-solving being the glue that ties it together. Mick's a practical guy, and so puzzles are down-to-earth too, designed to be unobtrusive, and give an investigative feel.
We're keeping the pacing quick and lean, you'll never be wandering around lost or confused- Mick is propelled through the story at a good clip, from one situation to another, with barely a moment to catch his breath. One minute you'll be crafting a Molotov cocktail from a bottle of over-proof rum, the next interrogating a crooked neurosurgeon before swinging from a high-rise window by a fraying extension lead.

It's a good time. Voice actors did a great job, soundtrack is killer, art style is incredible, and the narrative is hard to put down. Appreciate the chapter breaks for the opportunity to save and quit, not that I did for most of them lol. There were a couple moments were I had to do the age old "well I'm not really sure what to do, time to revisit rooms and try a bunch of stuff" a few times but wasn't ever particularly bad. Definitely recommend if you enjoy point and click adventures, it's a great time!
One of the best point and click games ive played in a while, ive played all tales of monkey island games and this was a new and fun with a cool twist to its story. Can wait for the next game from the devs ;)

This is a fabulous, fabulous game that was enjoyable from beginning to end. There were a lot of moments where I was just kind of stuck and needed to look online for help or maybe I just missed something. I had to struggle back forward to where it wasn't obvious what I had to combine in order to achieve what it let me achieve. Ultimately the story is extremely engaging. The voice acting is very good all around. The animation is really cool. Just overall a great game. Performance is a non-issue as you might expect with my frame rates being 240+.

Adult version of the old school Lucas art point and click games. Short but good, I would buy again
Ein sehr gutes Point&Click Adventure der alten Schule. Wenn man sich nicht an der einfachen Grafik stört, versetzt es einem in der Zeit zurück. Von mir klare Empfehlung.
As someone who does not typically play point and click games, I absolutely loved this game! The story and gameplay are so gripping and engaging that I practically didn't put the game down until I finished it!
Had a great time. Story was fun, jokes made me feel at home in Straya’
Nice!
