Mick Carter's been drifting a while now- moving from job to job, never staying one place long. Jumping a box-car to his old home town, he witnesses a violent murder, is pursued by hi-tech soldiers, thrown in a reservoir and drowned.
And that's just the start of Mick's problems.

The Drifter is our take on a classic 2d point and click adventure, with the brake-lines cut. The focus is on fast-paced storytelling, with puzzle-solving being the glue that ties it together. Mick's a practical guy, and so puzzles are down-to-earth too, designed to be unobtrusive, and give an investigative feel.
We're keeping the pacing quick and lean, you'll never be wandering around lost or confused- Mick is propelled through the story at a good clip, from one situation to another, with barely a moment to catch his breath. One minute you'll be crafting a Molotov cocktail from a bottle of over-proof rum, the next interrogating a crooked neurosurgeon before swinging from a high-rise window by a fraying extension lead.

Potrebbe suonare come una bestemmia ma questo gioco per meccaniche e intensità della storia mi ha fatto ritornare ai tempi di Monkey Island. Gameplay costruito a regola d'arte per essere un punta e clicca, soprattutto su Steam Deck. Gioco intenso e che a tratti emoziona.
Incredibly well written and nostalgic. From the lovely backdrops to the pixelated font, everything top to bottom reminds me of the joy I had playing Monkey Island when I was younger. A compelling plot left me constantly wanting the next chapter, even if there were a few plot holes. Highly recommend to anyone who likes pulpy point and click play.

Loved it from start to finish! An instant classic <3 Incredible voice acting, music, writing, and art. A few puzzles threw me and took awhile to figure out, and I thought I was stuck at one point, had to reference a guide and steam comments to figure that one out.
This game is a serious mind-freak. It has 1980s style CGA 320x200 low res graphics, BUT the plot is compelling and gritty. It has a Noir-detective vibe, combined with a sci-fi plot that combines "Mulholland Falls" with with maybe "Edge of tomorrow". A unique experience. Very exciting. With a mostly happy ending.
Easily one of the best point-and-click adventures I've ever played.

Esse jogo é a minha primeira experiência com jogo point and click, e apesar de eu ter avaliado positivamente, eu não gostei muito do jogo. Ele até que é daora, tem umas fases maneiras e uns puzzles bem legais. Porém eu achei que tem diálogos demais, e eu não sou muito de ficar lendo enquanto jogo.
Very good story, very stylish, with puzzles that are on the easy side, but kept me engaged enough. Music rocks, too. Also, recommended for English learners because there is a lot of good dialogue with awesome voice acting. The only drawback is the lack of animated cutscenes - we often get a black screen and some narration describing what has just transpired. Probably it was due to the limited budget. It's a pity because when there is animated action, it looks great, stylish and often quite gory (which I liked). Generally felt like watching a season of a retro sci-fi horror detective series. My deepest thanks to the creators! Make more games like this, please.
