The Dragons' Twilight

This game is truly a small gem. I found it while rifling through maker games and the reviews were rather positive; I'll admit that having visible encounters won me over. I wasn't expecting much, but the story goes way deeper than the (a little non-descriptive) summary. It has quirky humor that I really loved, fun eastereggs and actual character development! It's also really well-balanced, which sounds easy in a relatively simple game, but actually isn't – the difficulty is good, without becoming frustrating (a little at the end perhaps) or too easy. The world is lovingly crafted, and I would have liked to know more about some of the characters. However, I realize that to be smoothly playable, the game needs a certain number of characters that don't serve a great purpose to the story, so that's not the dev's fault. Speaking of that, when I looked something up for additional content (which actually exists, I love that in a game!), there were answers from the actual developer, which I think is a great sign that someone really cares, especially if they keep answering despite the release being no longer recent. What irked me a little were a number of typos in dialogues and such, but considering that I spend twelve hours on that game, you can tell it didn't put me off. (The ending felt a bit... odd, but that is my personal taste and perhaps due to the fact that I absolutely did not click with one of the protagonists. But again, if the characters are fleshed out enough that you can actually tell whether you like them or not, that's great! A lot of maker games do not have that, their protagonists are so bland that you struggle to care.) Overall, this is a great game! I already bought the second part and I can't wait to get started.

这游戏还蛮好玩的，剧情轻松有趣，就是流程有点短，如果不练级大概十个小时以内就能通关，我玩了十几个小时通关的时候33级。 地图不大可以去的地方不多，但是剧情还可以，几个角色在这么短的流程里也算做到了各有各的性格特点，地图和小解密设计得蛮好的，不难，战斗也不难升级也很快。 明怪，没有暗雷。 地图比较简陋看起来很贫穷的样子，用的都是MV自带素材。 游戏结尾没有必要去收集传说武器，因为boss很好打。 早知道夏促的时候把二三代一起买了，现在只能再等折扣了。

it's a good game with some logic thinking! and awwww Kaia.....that is ultra strong one!!! Finished the game in 23 hours! good game!!

I just finished playing through this game and finishing everything out it came in at just over 13 hours played. While nothing is custom in the artwork the story was interesting enough throughout to keep my going to where I finished it in just over 2 days of playing. The skills being tied to equipment was something you don't see much of and added an element of tactics to battles that's often lacking in RPGmaker games. You'll get your moneys worth at full price but if you get it on sale it is a steal. I look forward to playing the other games by this developer I only wish I hadn't let this one sit in my account so long without playing it.

It's so hard to find a good rpg maker game these days. Loved the story and the characters. I can't wait to play the sequel!

"Game's totally not grindy" 2 hours of nothing but mob-slaying beg to differ. I was specifically looking for something that does not fit the worn out, boring mold of RPG maker games with more bad combat than other charms but this is definetely NOT it.
