The Coin Game

Game ran fine during EA but now after the 1.0 release I cant turn in any tickets without getting locked up on the ticket redemption machine Game was fun when it worked but sadly I cant recommend it in its current state

With a 5080 I have frame drops/stuttering. Ok it seems that before 1.0 everything was good, I honestly want to play that version of the game.

I would put yes on this reviews, but the game doesn't look finished at all on full release, fps issues, graphics looks like cheap from 2000s, animation looks bad, physics has issues too and bugs.

I adore Coin Game, but recommending it is tricky. Every machine I've tested this on, that being 2 separate PCs and a Steam Deck, the game runs kinda choppy even on the lowest settings. Its far from unplayable, and I imagine the physics objects make this tricky to optimize, but its something to keep in mind before picking it up. If you can look past it, absolutely go for it you will not regret it. I like to throw the robots around, this game is toys for me.

bad 1.0 update, graphics look the same, its buggier, messier, and just more un-fun and annoying then early access. Dont buy yet, just see where the game goes.

I hate to give one of my favorite games of the past 5~ years a poor review, but the 1.0 release after the early access has has made The Coin Game one of the most depressing games to revisit. First the game had to be remade completely in a new engine, which messed with the collision and physics, making the game feel a lot less fun to play (especially when delivering mail, which was already somewhat annoying to do). What really upset me though were the baffling gameplay changes introduced in 1.0 that ruin the integrity of this formerly great game. You now need to earn $150 before you can even ENTER an arcade, let alone play any games. If you want to play at other arcades you need additional money to open them, and the methods of making money are... horrid. Basically you can't play the game until you suffer for about an hour. In the newest dev update, devotid did say that a "classic mode" is coming, which keeps me hopeful that the game can recover, but only time will tell. Unfortunate that the game is a shell of it's former versions, but I'll always be playing every update whether the game is good or not.
