Each one varying from what you might find at an arcade to what you might bring home to your early 8-bit consoles. You'll be avoiding hazards, and cleaning up the town to earn the highest score!

Clean up clyde is a great NES like game that harkens back to the classics single screen arcade games like Donkey Kong or Space invaders, despite its simplicity there's a fair amount of content here with different game styles and a different game mode entirely. If you want some bite sized fun to kill some time, I recommend the Clean up Clyde Collection.
The Clean Up Clyde Collection is a fun compilation of games featuring Clean Up Clyde and Roller Rosie, reminiscent of the classic arcade cabinets and home consoles from the 1980s. It consists of 3 games each representing a Classic Arcade Cabinet, an Atari 2600 with an ATARIVOX+ add-on and a Famicom spinoff respectively.
Pros
In terms of visuals, controls and audio, the games do a wonderful job replicating virtually every single detail accurately as if they were on their source console, from the scanlines to the limited 8-bit color palette, so much so that you could fool someone into believing it's an actual classic from 1983. The music and soundtrack are really nice also considering that they sound different on each console's "hardware". Gameplay wise the game is fun but rather lackluster with not many levels. Can be completed fairly quickly. For it's current price it's a bang for your buck.
Cons
Despite the game's pure faithfulness to the classics, it's a bit too faithful. The character is too slow and clunky from dodging obstacles, such as bullets from the cloud. There is also no pause feature, but however hitting escape exits the game and sends you directly to the start screen instead of a little menu overlay over a paused game, or a text title that reads, "Pause". Thus resetting all progress made up to that point. I learnt that the hard way. Overall, Clean Up Clyde is a, "timeless classic" in it own right, replicating an era where patience was a prominent characteristic for the casual gamer of that generation due to the capabilities of limited hardware.
I'm a big fan of arcade games and challenging my friends to high score contests. But it ain't just about high scores, it's gotta be fun too. This game, or rather, games, offer that. There's a lot of attention to detail to each of the 3 modes, making each one unique, both graphically and gameplay wise. It looks like a lot of love was put into this. One of the better arcade games from the 80s that never existed, until now!
My biggest question when it came to Clean Up Clyde was "it looks retro, but is it -retro fun-?" Well, I'm happy to say the game delivers! From the start, you know it has a lot of love packed into it because its not simply one game, but a collection. Two of the games are different versions of Clean Up Clyde, one the "arcade original" and the other for the "Wantari 2250". I thought they'd be exactly the same but with different graphics, but it turns out they're totally separate games. The arcade original has a lot more level layouts, each with their own background and characters (like a cool strutting dog). The Wantari 2250 version instead has an alien attack scenario! This bizarre change in story is a great homage to classic games where the what you got in the home version wasn't always what you played at the arcade. The third game included is “Rosie Run” which is actually a stand alone version of the bonus game that appears in the arcade version of Clean Up Clyde. I highly suggest playing it before you play the arcade game, because it lets you get a handle of that bonus round, which is important if you want to complete it. Clean Up Clyde is difficult from the word go, but I promise seeing all the scenes that pop up as you play are worth it, so don't give up after a game over. It very much falls into that category of retro game that challenges you up front and rewards you for learning the game and getting a bit farther each time. The game has a couple of funky tunes, with my favorites being the jam on the collection menu and the Konami-esque beat for the Rosie Run minigame. The graphics really shine too, with my personal favorites being the Wantari style. If you've ever played an Atari game and enjoyed some of the creative representations game developers came up with for rendering characters, you'll see someone with that same love made this game.
This game brought me back to a time when games where challenging in a way when you do a little better you really feel the accomplishment of getting better. This is a great tribute to the old 8bit and 16bit era of gaming, I would highly recommend this game to any who misses an era of gaming that brings back memories of Christmas morning with their new Nintendo system!
I love finding indie games like this! This hits all the beats for me: great retro vibe and music, retro art, fun gameplay. You can tell the creator really put heart into it and had a real love for that era of games, like many of us do. I stumbled across it on sale for $1, but it would absolutely be worth the $3 normal price.
Excellent arcade game that purpose different art directions and gameplays that can makes you addict!
Its a very fun take of a "retro" feeling game, Absolutely worth it for the price for 3 different minigames.
Clean Up Clyde is a charming retro-style arcade adventure that sends you back in time to an era of gaming creativity and innovation. The visual style, and focus on gameplay was expertly crafted and really hit the nail on the head aesthetically. I cant wait for more updates!
