Reviews
I have moderate play on LC and extensive play on Android. As it is virtually the same game on both platforms, I feel I know the game sufficiently well to make a review. This game is a very faithful and fun adaptation of the board game of the same name. The music is great, I personally really like the art style and the voice acting is excellent (we even have Jon St John of Duke Nukem fame voicing the janitor!). My biggest gripe with the game at first was the interface. It required too many clicks for a game where you need to have an overview of the entire ship. The introduction of the tactical HUD has fixed most of the issues I had with the UI and has made the game so much easier to read and enjoy that I recommend absolutely to everyone to simply set the UI to tactical as soon as possible and not bother with the original. As for the game, just like its board game counterpart, it is very difficult and there is a surprising amount of replayability on offer. You can try to beat this game on a lot of difficulty settings with varying alert decks and crewmembers which will all drastically affect how you approach the game. The game has a very strong sense of identity and it really does feel like the board game coming to life. The voice actors all fit perfectly and the music adds to the tension and excitement. Now a few gripes I have with the game. Alert overrides are on a timer. Meaning you only have a few seconds to decide whether you want to override the incoming alert. It usually isn't a problem as you can see incoming alerts and decide whether you'll override before clicking on End Turn. However in specific situations, you'll only see what the next alert is as the game gives you 3 or 4 seconds to offer an override. And in those situations I'd still like some time to properly assess whether it's worth spending command skills or not. Sometimes UI elements blend in with the "flavor screens", meaning most systems have a bunch of "meaningless" info as a decoration, but certain elements in the game are actually interactive. For example, the security system has a slider once you choose a room allowing you to select how many aliens you want to kill in that room. You don't actually have to click on the security system and watch the animation play over and over. The game is still being updated (obviously with all the crew from the board game but also a new UI and gameplay improvements) so I'm fairly confident that some hiccups will still be ironed out. If you enjoy strategy games and sci-fi settings, this comes highly recommended. Very fun, very engaging and very challenging.

Amazingly well animated, would recommend to anyone who likes Star Trek. My only complaint is that the zoom in to specific areas takes some getting used/is slightly disorienting at first. Go at your own pace, it's a thrilling game despite being turn-based.
This turn based game is clearly inspired by Star Trek. The name of the game is terrible, but the game is surprisingly entertaining. The warp drive malfunctioned, an alien ship attacked, and the captain died. Now the crew (the player) must find a way to survive fighter attacks and intruder attacks. You win the game if the warp drive (jump core) is fixed, and you lose if shields are destroyed or if 12 aliens enter your ship or if all the alerts in the list of alerts take place. Simple premise, but putting this into practice is hard. You need to use the skills of each crew member, one by one, to advance towards the survival solution. It is a game that proves that Murphy was an optimist and Murphy's law is a constant of the universe where the crew tries to fix chaos that pile up on top of chaos, while crew members (the player) struggle to fix things. Players have different levels of 4 skills that need to be used and a limited set of actions. If they do not have sufficient skills to do the job, they must acquire them. But everything takes time (turns) and time is in short supply. The more time it passes, the more difficult things will become. Most of times you are likely to not win, because it is a difficult game, and you start uphill, but you score points and that way you find how you did it in each game. Some people do not like the abstract low polygon art, but I find them artistic and also it allows the game to run on my old typewriter I call a computer. This game is based on a board game, and I think they managed to make a good translation of the game to this format, instead of merely a digital tabletop game. It feels very cinematic. Did I tell you you will lose most of times? What is the joy then? I compare this game with the Jenga tower. You are trying to make a move without collapsing the tower, and that is the exact feeling you have. when you play this game. Trekkers will love this game, either in tabletop or videogame format, if they do not mind to play a game where the Borg collective attacks and invades the ship. And I say this because there is no exploration and diplomacy, just pure chaos. And this chaos is strangely fun and enjoyable. I dislike horror and love arts, and this game is right my alley. It has a wholesome feeling, but also a frantic pace, and this game has a strange way to make me laugh and have fun when I lose. That is because in a Jenga tower you see the imminent collapse, instead of a plain instant failure like the one you would see in a combat flight simulator when a missile hits. That makes you to see how things are gradually going down, full chaos.
Fun playing co-op.
I really loved the board game and had a great time. I bought this, because the devs took the game off of tabletop simulator, so I thought this would be a way to play with friends all over the country. Unfortunately they didn't put effort in to actually make the game cooperative, even when they enabled remote play. The game is always single player and you can just have a second person see the game and tell you what they want to do on their turn. That's awful and really deceptive. On top of all of that, the developers didn't even actually build a proper tutorial. They filled it with memes for the laughs, but don't actually explain what any of the stuff does, so it's assuming that you've already played the board game. Really disappointed in this, and sorry I bought it.
They should have spent effort adding online multiplayer rather than putting in cute voices. Without the ability to play this with your friends on a Friday night, it's an easy pass. Just fire up Tabletop Simulator and play it there...it's easier to understand what's going on and your friends can play with you. This is a great game - real shame about this adaptation.
ok, g.np.
A personal favorite ❤️
I loved playing the board game, and this is a very faithful and fast-paced emulation of that. I hope they will also incorporate the expansion editions in the future for this game as DLC.
unplayable version of the very good board game. cannot get a good understanding of what is going on and cannot plan ahead properly.
