The Banner Saga 2

Slightly not as good as the first one (maybe 8.5/10 rather than 9.5/10), but still delightful. Being able to carry over your save is extremely fun. There's some wonderful plot twists, interesting new mechanics, and just as much harsh-but-fair decision making as you'd want from the first game. Just like with Banner Saga 1; these games are more like parts 1, 2 and 3 of one big story than entries in a trilogy. You need to buy them all at once for the complete experience, but they go on sale for a very generous price now and then.

[h1]8/10 Great sequel but play Banner Saga 1 first.[/h1] Great story that expands on the first game which brings up the games greatest strength and weakness. You have to play the first one to truly enjoy this one and there is one more after this one so the game without spoiling too much does not have a satisfying ending.

To me, this was the weakest game in the trilogy, but still carried on with the fantastic story and visuals. Nonetheless, still worth working through (and necessary to continue the story)

Это хорошая драматичная история, с хорошей музыкой, визуалом, пошаговыми боями. Но история реально грустная. Особенно мне понравились сложные моральные выборы. Если 1 игра более менее закончена, то вторая заканчивается на заделе на продолжение, но заканчивается эпично. В этой игре поведение Оддлейф стало каким-то странным. Но поевился новый главный параллельный герой Больверк, он просто шикарен, коннорождённые появились.

En resumen Igual de bueno que el primero. El hecho de que puedas cargar la partida del 1 y continuar esas decisiones me parece SUBLIME. Hay algunas interacciones pequeñas TAN gratificantes, realmente el eco de tus decisiones se nota. Tiene MUCHO más combate que el primero. Tiene más decisiones y más variedad de personajes que el primero. Las nuevas mecánicas que se introducen tanto en aliados como enemigos le dan frescura al gameplay. El poder "acampar" cuando te place es un buen añadido. Los "challenges" en el sitio de práctica son realmente divertidos y te ayudan a motivarte a probar distintos personajes y ver como combean entre ellos y las posibilidades que abren, que no son tan fáciles de ver a simple vista. Siguen habiendo algunos diálogos y decisiones que tal y como están escritos no queda muy claro exactamente cual será el output, pero son solo 2-3. La historia se mantiene interesante, no tanto como en el primero ya que es la novedad, pero lo que se introduce mola, Bolverk es guay como personaje, y Regga es un personaje despreciable que hace que la historia te tenga en ascuas. Esta vez lo empecé en normal, ya que ya vi que en difícil en el primero había situaciones injustas sin items concretos. Las cinemáticas son chulísimas, una pena que sean TAN cortitas.

A truly a saga! Good turn-based RPG, with an engaging gameplay, memorable characters and an engaging story. Story and characters change based on your decisions - reminiscent of Fire Emblem-style games. Strong recommend if you like turn-based RPG's. Similar to Ash of Gods, if you liked that, you'll probably like this. All three of it.
