About
Survive a journey across space in the Auriga Vault, an interstellar gothic monastery crewed by the last remaining exiles of a terrible disaster. Explore hostile solar systems, construct outposts, and craft precious materials to keep your crew alive. During the long hibernation between suns, expand the knowledge and ability of your exiles, and delay the arrival of The Gloom.
The Banished Vault is a run-based strategy game of solar system exploration, resource and crew management, and outpost construction.
Procedurally generated solar systems are displayed as realistic energy maps, with various bodies presenting different challenges. Plan your movements carefully, as engines and fuel behave according to a simplified but punishing rocket equation.
Construct outposts in orbit and on planet surfaces, considering the space needed, hazards, and accessibility. Resources are not tracked globally, and must be harvested and transported by your star ships from various locations to be used.
Search for artifacts to bring back to the Vault to unlock abilities for your exiles and new buildings to construct. Dice challenges test your exiles’ faith enduring hazards in a hostile universe.
Complete your run by surviving long enough to write the story of your Vault and transmit it home. The voyage is challenging - your exiles might die or be left behind. If you are reduced to one exile, the journey fails. No one can survive alone.
Unique gameplay and solar system presentation using simplified but realistic math.
Challenging and permanent decisions reward planning and careful play.
Tense risk management and exploration involving dice challenges and unforeseen outcomes.
Gorgeous hand-drawn art and board game style aesthetic.
A stark and hostile original setting inspired by Alien and The Book of the New Sun.
An extensive and carefully written manual that combines tutorial, game explanation, and reference guide.

Unfortunately doesnt do anything with its fantastic themes, and instead plays like a highly repetetive math problem with a beautiful soundtrack. The thing is, the mechanics arent deep enough for it to be fun mastering the game, maths and all, so most of your time will be spent just double checking crafting recipes. Someone will probably really like this but dont be fooled and assume you will actually learn about the "challenging universe of the banished vault", what little lore there is only serves as a precursor for the gameplay.
This Yes leans more to the side of maybe. Banished Vault is a beautiful game with very in-depth systems to enjoy, for those willing to make the effort, but hurt by the cumbersome way to control the mechanics. Every single step is a calculated decision. Moving ships, moving people, production, everything. The biggest downside from this is easily making mistakes which can't be corrected. More often then not ending a run prematurely. You either love this and sink hours into this game understanding every little detail and mechanic, or give up after a couple hours never to return again.
A challenging and beautiful time.
O jogo não vale o preço que ele cobra, eu achei que seria um roguelike com gestão de recursos. Mas não acontece quase nenhum encontro aleatório no jogo, você só fica viajando e coletando recursos e nada de interessante acontece.
Games was pretty simple in beat it in a few run throughs. Not very fun.
Nothing flashy. If you find enjoyment in making a well thought out plans, then you will enjoy this game as well as I.
Roughly 95% of my recorded playtime has been working out the math of actions on scratch paper and reading the manual. 11/10 game.
A special one, heavy on mood. Rare to find something so crunchy presented so artfully.
I love a hard strategy game and this is a GOOD single-player E-boardgame. Good vibe, DEEP strategies. Space feels perilous with unseen dangers, and I plan for an engaging 10 minutes on every system entry. The mechanics and variations are NOT AS RICH as modern survival/resource management games such as Frost Punk, i.e. a good 15 hours should be all you get.
The art style is fantastic and the bits of lore you get are awesome if you like the grim dark genre. But the gameplay is very clunky and reminds of stategy games from the 90s.
