Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I wanted more Save Room type gameplay, and that's exactly what i got. I suspect the game is endless if i do not buy the final achievement. Perfect for when i want to scratch that itch!

Cute, but Caught in a Loop Adorable on the outside, but once you peel back the pastel layers, it’s mostly rinse and repeat. A few puzzles might make you squint and think, but most of the challenge is just... sticking with it. Achievements trickle in if you keep tapping, but I kept wishing for a little more magic beneath the surface. Sad story about the death of an MMORPG but all in all rating wise I'd put it at, can I recommend? Verdict 4/10 it's not the worst sorting game I've played.
Tbh, part of my dissatisfaction with the game is me going into it expecting it to effectively be Save Room 3, which was my own fault, especially since I played this immediately after both of the Save Room games, but I kept thinking about them a lot while playing The Auto Sort Is Broken because it gets wrong a lot of what they got right. First off, the controls. I'm personally not a fan of how you have to drag the items rather than clicking once to pick up and then clicking again to put down, but that's just personal preference and I can look past it. What I can look past considerably less is how the game's detection of where you're placing the items is MUCH worse than the Save Room games. In both SR game, placing items down felt perfect, I'd always place something down where I meant to without fail (whether or not placing it down there was a good idea is a different story). In Auto Sort however, I'd frequently find that the items get dropped one tile off in one or both axes and it would take a lot of fiddling in order to get the items to go where I wanted them to. This is something these devs had down to a science, I don't understand what happened. Secondly, the puzzles themselves. I like the changed focus towards grouping items next to each other, but the puzzles overall never get all that complicated. The game does try to make them harder sometimes by putting you on a time limit, but I honestly do not enjoy that mechanic as I often found that it was a complete crapshoot as to whether I'd solve them in time depending on if I happened to put everything in the grid in an optimal way on my first try. It did make them harder I guess, but in a way that made them frustrating instead. I did like the puzzles where you have to have to fit the players items in while avoiding the junk they picked up along the way, but sometimes it was too difficult to figure out what was trash and what was treasure, so to speak. Lastly, I'm not a fan of the achievements system. You just do puzzles until you get them seemingly at random, and then you buy them with the gold you earn also from doing puzzles. There's no skill or intricacy to them beyond progressing through the game, they just happen, so they ended up not feeling like much of an achievement to me. It also doesn't help that with the exception of the final achievement I already had all the gold needed to buy them the moment they popped up, and that when playing in a narrower than 16:9 resolution (my monitor is 16:10), the "You have new achievements" popup softlocks the achievements button as well as every other button. I had to alt+F4 every time this happened in order to actually buy the achievements I'd "earned". All in all, massive downgrade from the prior games these developers have made like this. Go buy the Save Room games instead. They're much more substantial for literally the same price individually.
this is a good game will recammand if you want something to pass the time
I am changing this from not recommended to recommended, but leaving the old review below [strike]struck out.[/strike] This is a simple puzzle game where you put tetris pieces into a grid. It's a pretty simple concept. First, the bad. Where the pieces drop needs to be calibrated. More often then not, the piece will snap into the wrong spot and you have to move it. This is annoying, and is really bad on the timed puzzles. I came into this wanting more, which was the wrong approach. I like this to be a mechanic of a larger game, than the game itself. However, revisiting the game knowing it was just a puzzler made it a lot better. The beginning is slow and repetitive, but about halfway through you will start getting some that will challenge you. This is when the game really comes online. The dialogue works and really shows the dev's appreciation for gaming as a medium and their stance on predatory business practices, especially when it comes to microtransactions. Even the achievements are only earned by "buying" them with the gold you get for completing levels. Without spoiling anything, the ending of the game is cute. Get this if you like puzzle and know you'll get a max of 2-3 hours out of the whole game. I was watching TV while playing so I expect my playtime would be shorter if I just locked in instead. [strike]Inventory management is one of my favorites, but this isn't it. You are tasked with fitting tetris pieces into a grid with no leftover space. More often than not, the piece will not place in the spot you are trying for, and be off by one. Some items I think have "gravity" in that they always drop as low as they can go, or it's this bug, and I honestly can't tell. This would be 'just okay' if it weren't also for the fact that some of the puzzles are timed, and you'll be lucky if you complete it due to this bug. Even IF that bug weren't here, the game is very repetitive. You'll likely enjoy the first 20 minutes or so, but after that it's really more of the same. To be fair, I don't know what I was expecting. I've been looking for games like this so I've been playing Dredge and Backpack Hero, so maybe the fact that this game is only the inventory management aspect and nothing else is on me. The good about the game though is that it's clear the devs have a passion for gaming. "Players" (you're the NPC) have little lines of dialogue that air out the frustrations we see in games all too often. The pixel art looks good, and the music sets the vibe. if I were a game dev, it's more than likely I would make something similar to this game, as least as a starting point. I also think the achievements are implemented in a really fun way. Rather than "do this thing" you have to buy the achievement from a shop, and it's only available after said event happens. It's only a button press away, and definitely has artistic merit about the futility of achievement hunting and the cycle of violence of predatory game development practices. I'll probably finish the game, and don't plan on asking for a refund. It was only a couple dollars. If you like the tetris piece inventory management and NOTHING else, you'll like this game. if you want that to only be one element of the game, play something else like the aforementioned Dredge or Backpack Hero.[/strike]
Not bad. Their RE4 clone puzzle games are better though. Placing items sometimes just don't go where you are telling them to go multiple times in a row. Not the biggest issue until you get to the timed ones.
It's a simple game and the controls are imprecise, but the gameplay idea is nice and entertaining enough for the short time it takes to complete the game. It works on the steam deck, but controls are a bit awkward. Using the touchpad to move the mouse cursor worked best for me. This makes it challenging to complete the timed requests. Fortunately, there are not many of those and any failed requests repeat indefinitely at the end until you solve them. So no need to feel bad for failing the time limits. You also do not need to solve all requests to finish the game and get all achievements.
