The Adventures of Perseus

The Adventures of Perseus is a match 3 game that has the story of the Adventures of Perseus (think Clash of the Titans storyline) intertwined through all the match three boards that are set in areas all over the Mediterranean. As you play you will get help from other goods once you have completed certain boards, this help comes in the forms of different ways to help you clear the board, once you have collected the necessary tokens that "fill" up the corresponding symbol for the power. When you start playing a board, there will be a sign at the top of the screen telling you what kind of matches you need to make to clear the board you will either be swapping to make matches or "drawing a chain" or clicking on blocks to clear the board. There are colored tiles under the pieces that you have to clear to finish a board. Sometimes you have to also match special pieces to unlock a box or draw plans for buildings. These plans are used for your "city" that you build as you make your way through the game. There are also three levels of play Easy, which has no timer, medium which has a timer and a longer interval in between hints and finally a hard level which has a shorter timer to finish the board and a even longer interval between hint usage. There are also some other small puzzles that are interspersed through out the game, like HOG's, spot the differences and actual puzzles. The music and graphics were ok, being a bit of an older game the graphics are starting to look dated. I will give this game a 6 out of 10 for a match 3 game, it was ok, for a little diversion.

There are separate sliders for music and sound, as well as your choice of Easy, Normal or Hard difficulty. I find that these titles are better played non-timed for two reasons: 1. There are no achievements, nor score bonus for playing timed, and 2. The bluish-iron plates can be hard to spot, and running out of time because I can't spot the tile I need to clear is not my idea of fun! ;D The goal of each match-3 level is to clear all of the gold and iron tiles on the screen to proceed. Collect various Gods' golden trinkets to fill their meters and call forth their powers to help you clear the board. These items don't have to be matched - just click on them when you spot them~! Match 5 or more pieces to gain a golden bomb in the playing area. You can swap this bomb with any other piece on the board, meaning that you can detonate it wherever you wish! Along the way you will have to collect quills or keys to unlock areas of the playing field, netting you blueprints for your growing city or items to help you with your journey. Unlike the 2nd game in the series, [i]Jason and the Argonauts[/i], there are no choices for building-style. New areas will automatically be built when you find the plans. The story of Perseus was entertaining, but skippable if you prefer. The narrator's voice was perfect for the drama of this story from Greek Mythology. I absolutely loved the way they incorporated Medusa into the gameplay on this one! [i]The Adventures of Perseus[/i] is a solid match-3 game, with different styles to keep things interesting, and the occasional puzzle or hidden object scene to go with the story. Recommended!

Три в ряд с дополнительными мини-играми в антракте, под попутно пересказываемые мифы древней Греции и неспешным строительством какого-то городка на месте домика овцепаса. По своему исполнению игра такая же древняя, как те мифы, которые в ней пересказываются. Такое впечатление, что она ровесница первой Марио и Тетриса. Не то, что бы это вообще "фу", но, по-меньшей мере, странно. 2019 год на дворе, если кто-то не заметил. Подобных игр достойного современного качества исполнения в Стиме море. Для какой цели это старьё тут всплыло? Прошли времена маленьких мониторов и паршивого разрешения, а вместе с ним прошли и времена, когда люди были готовы мириться с кубиками и размазнёй вместо плавной красивой картинки. Из настроек только ползунки звука и включение полноэкранного режима. Не понятно что мешало разработчику выставить игре нормальную линейку разрешений и графических настроек. Разве что старенькая игра где-то спёрта и продаётся под видом своей. При шести поддерживаемых языках среди нет ни одного русского. Это русофобский демарш? Или всё же глупость? Не хочешь продавать русским, будь честен, повесь гео-лок. Хочешь денег русских покупателей - изволь дать им русскую локализацию. Так честный бизнес делается. На ту же тему, точно такие же игры три в ряд на древне-греческую тематику серии Heroes of Hellas выглядят куда современнее, имеют русскоязычную локализацию, лучшее исполнение графики, да и ценник имеют дешевле. Хотя и они уже воспринимаются устаревшими. Так что я не вижу ни одного осмысленного повода к тому, что бы купить эту игру. Приключение Персея - 3-в-ряд по мотивам древнегреческих мифов. Плюс. - 3-в-ряд перемежается большим количеством других мини-игр и строительством города. - есть 3 уровня сложности с разным временем заряда подсказки. - мифы древней Греции это всегда хорошее. Минус. - на Windows 10 игра постоянно падает с критической ошибкой. Натурально за 15 минут игры 3 падения. Ни режим совместимости, ни прочие танцы с бубном особо не помогают. - картинка как будто игра сделана во время Windows 95. - геймплей несколько монотонный. Контакт. Контакта не вышло. По крайней мере у меня. Решайте сами, стоит оно того или нет.

I love playing matching games especially when they are based on Greek or Roman mythology! The challenges and varieties available in this game are excellent, reminding me a little of the Cradle Of Rome series of match 3 games. There are 3 Modes of difficulty Mortal/easy which has no timer and puzzles can be skipped in 30 seconds. Hero/medium which has a timer and 60 seconds on skip and hint meters. Olympian/hard has no skip features and hints take 2 minutes to recharge. There are mini games such as repeating the same order of symbols shown in the fire, by matching the exact order on the symbols in the sand. Some levels require you to match a certain amount of keys and then use the master key to open up a chest as well as the rest of the board. You have to do the same with feathers, and then use the main feather on the parchment paper. There will eventually be sickles to collect which will destroy the creatures. There are different goals requiring different types of match 3 games, the classic 3 or more tile swapping. In my opinion it was a very enjoyable game with all varieties of Match 3 and worth the price on sale.

The Adventures of Perseus is a match 3 game from HH-games newly released to Steam. Like most of their products it's great quality despite being an older re-release.
