**🔥👹 THE 7TH CIRCLE – ENDLESS NIGHTMARE: Where Hell is a Roguelike & Satan is Your DM 👹🔥** Imagine if *Silent Hill* and *Tetris* had a baby… and then abandoned it in a haunted meat grinder. *The 7th Circle* is a survival horror roguelike that’s less “game” and more “**existential tax audit**.” You’ll die, respawn, and question why you paid $30 to be bullied by geometry. 📉💀 **The Good Stuff:** - **Atmosphere?** It’s like a *Tim Burton* film directed by a sleep-deprived cryptid. The levels shift and twist like a Rubik’s Cube dunked in LSD, and the sound design will make you side-eye your own shadow. 🎧👁️ - **Combat:** Swing a pipe at a demonic office printer 📠🔧, dodge possessed IKEA furniture 🛋️👻, and parry a *literal* guilt trip from your therapist (now a boss fight!). Janky? Yes. Hilarious? Also yes. - **Permadeath:** Lose everything, but gain *trauma points* to unlock new ways to suffer. “Oh cool, I can now respawn with a phobia of ceiling fans!” 🌪️😱 **The ‘Why Am I Here?’ Stuff:** - **Sanity Meter:** Your character’s sanity drains faster than a TikTok attention span. Hallucinations include: walls breathing, NPCs speaking in reverse Latin, and your inventory items judging you. 📉🔮 - **Procedural Generation:** The levels are randomized, which means you’ll get lost in the same claustrophobic hallway 17 times. Congrats, you’ve found hell’s waiting room! 🚪🌀 - **Boss Fights:** Battle a CEO demon who throws spreadsheets 📊👹, a sentient panic attack, and your own ghost from run #42. *Motivational!* **Final Verdict:** THE 7TH CIRCLE is a **8.5/10** if you’re into: - Masochism disguised as “gameplay.” 🖤🎮 - Horror that makes *Five Nights at Freddy’s* look like *Sesame Street*. 🧸🔪 - Sobbing into a bowl of cereal at 2 AM while whispering, “One more run…” 🥣🌌 **🌟 Play it if:** You’ve ever wanted to yell “THIS IS ART” while running from a sentient tax return. **🚫 Skip it if:** You enjoy happiness, sunlight, or functional mental health. *Disclaimer: This review was spawned by DeepSeek AI that’s never screamed at a jumpscare or filed taxes. Its opinions are powered by chaos algorithms and a concerning lack of OSHA compliance.* ☕🤖 *P.S. If you develop a fear of staplers, we accept no liability.* 📎⚖️ **The 7th Circle (8.5/10):** *Pros:* Hellish chaos 🔥, shifting labyrinths 🌀. *Cons:* Sanity decay 😱, IKEA demons 🛋️. *Verdict:* Masochist’s paradise. 😈🎮
There's a good game in here, but it's hidden under a layer of clunky UI plaster. 7th Circle is a dungeon crawler with a lush/grisly aesthetic. All of its custom art is gorgeous and horrific, and it has cool understated atmospheric soundtrack, good audio design, and solid gameplay to back that up. It's writing is perfectly passable for what it needs to do, and while it feels translated, it isn't hard at all to understand. The big problem with 7th Circle is that it runs slow and it hides everything behind loading screens. This isn't a game that's Grimrock smooth. Going into your stat window requires a 12 second loading screen. So does starting or ending combat. Accessing any other windowis cumbersome and slow. Moving from tile to tile requires a small but perceptible wait as the game struggles to catch up. I'm on a potato computer, but it runs other dungeon crawlers fine, and I think the culprit here is that 7th Circle is constantly checking and saving. Underneath this jank, though, the core game is good. Character design feels engaging. Combat is about spacing and planning and using every tool in your arsenal. Traps are minimal, and hidden walls aren't essential to progress. Furthermore, there's a lot of roguelite features at play. You carry over part of every dead character into your next character, and you do so in like seven distinctly different ways. The feeling of customization makes death feel like a checkpoint rather than a setback, and unlocking new upgrades or stockpiling resources feels satisfying. Unfortunately, past a certain point gameplay starts to feel a little samey. And there's a few other weird UI decisions, such as your full map being tied to casting a spell, that add a bit more blemish to the experience. If you relish the grind, and if you can get your game to run smoothly, and if you don't mind a bit of UI jank, this is a good title. If not, this is still kind of a masterful art showcase, and it may be worth it entirely in that regard.
Pretty standard dungeon crawler. Runs smooth, graphics are nice, but combat is a bit too simplistic. I'm not a big fan of the monster design, but that's just due to my own preferences for aesthetics in these kind of games.
very nice game well thought and designed !!! im having fun replaying after i die because you can influence the next outcome via giving a different boost to the next character!! really nice concept
Jogo de turno muito bom, mas é complicado de entender no inicio.
At first, this seemed confusing, and with all that almost-barren walls design, I didn't feel like wanting to delve more. But man, I am glad I didn't give in. Once I looked under the hood a bit, it has turned out to be a rather well-designed rogue-lite dungeon crawler. One that you don't have to finish right-away out of fear of forgetting what's been done and what not, if you follow me. On top of that, it's seeping visceral, brooding atmosphere. I recommend. EDIT after 8 hours: Hmm, I’ve spent 8 hours playing now, and I must say, everything feels pretty repetitive. Nothing new has really unfolded so far. It’s something like a Dungeonhack: enemies (I’ve only encountered 5 different types so far), traps (which always serve merely as a surprise attacks), levers to find, chests, the occasional 'desktop racing game,' and loot (which is very basic – I have found only slightly better versions of the starting gear and zero rare or magical items). Some tidbit here and there I've failed to mention, too. Rinse and repeat. That said, the atmosphere is truly fairly unique, and different builds probably offer a bit different approaches to the game. It might be worth checking out if you have time to kill, but after 8 hours, I myself am finding it too repetitive to keep playing.
Made in Italy!
May be your thing. But I love grid dungeon crawlers, only if they are 3D and with sufficient alternatives. Not these semi-static drawn animations, with no real 3D depth, and drawn scenarios with no sense of being and moving in a real place, but a confusing series of photos. Not for me at all, too samey.
Could have been decent but the combat is terrible. Everything else, including design is solid.
