That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Chronicles
Kde to trochu drhne
Není to žádné hluboké RPG, spíš takové „pomačkej tlačítka a sleduj efekty“. *Grind, grind a zase grind: Abys postavil tu nejlepší kovárnu, budeš muset proběhnout stejný les klidně desetkrát.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Chronicles is an anime-licensed action RPG developed by ZOC Co.,Ltd. and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. that sets out to translate the broad scope and charm of the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime universe into an interactive format. Rather than focusing purely on combat or narrative alone, the game attempts to encapsulate Rimuru Tempest’s journey as both an adventurer and a nation-builder, blending side-scrolling action with light city management and story progression. This hybrid approach gives the game a clear identity rooted in its source material, even if the execution sometimes struggles to fully realize its ambitions. The combat forms the most immediately engaging part of the experience. Battles take place in 2D side-scrolling environments where Rimuru and allied party members unleash fast, flashy attacks against waves of enemies. Controls are responsive and accessible, making it easy to chain together combos, special skills, and team abilities without requiring deep mechanical mastery. Skills are visually expressive, capturing the over-the-top spectacle fans expect from the series, and switching between party members or activating support abilities adds a layer of tactical decision-making. While the action feels satisfying, especially early on, prolonged sessions can reveal a degree of repetition, as enemy variety and encounter structure do not evolve as dramatically as the player’s growing power might suggest. Progression outside of combat is closely tied to the development of Tempest, Rimuru’s burgeoning nation. Materials and rewards earned during missions are funneled into constructing and upgrading buildings that provide stat bonuses, unlock new systems, and expand available content. This aspect of the game echoes one of the anime’s central themes: growth through community and infrastructure rather than strength alone. However, while the idea is thematically strong, the mechanics themselves remain relatively shallow. Most decisions boil down to upgrading structures whenever resources allow, with limited strategic trade-offs or long-term planning involved. As a result, city building feels more like a progression checklist than a fully realized management system. Narratively, ISEKAI Chronicles walks a careful line between retelling familiar events and introducing new scenarios. Key story arcs from the anime are revisited, while original quests and side stories attempt to flesh out character relationships and daily life in Tempest. Fans of the series will appreciate the chance to see beloved characters interact in new contexts, and the inclusion of original story content helps the game stand on its own rather than acting as a simple retread. That said, the storytelling relies heavily on dialogue sequences and static scenes, which can disrupt pacing and diminish emotional impact. For players unfamiliar with the source material, the narrative may feel fragmented or rushed, assuming a level of prior knowledge that the game does not always take the time to establish. Character progression and RPG systems are present but relatively straightforward. Skills and stats improve steadily, giving a clear sense of growth, yet the upgrades often feel incremental rather than transformative. This design choice keeps the game approachable but also limits the sense of experimentation or specialization that deeper RPG fans might expect. The overall difficulty curve reflects this accessibility, rarely demanding deep optimization or mastery, which makes the game welcoming but occasionally lacking in tension. Visually, the game leans into a clean anime-inspired presentation that faithfully represents the source material. Character models, effects, and environments capture the tone and style of the series, even if environmental detail and animation quality vary. Performance is generally stable, and the visual flair of combat helps maintain excitement during repetitive encounters. The soundtrack complements the experience with energetic and atmospheric tracks, reinforcing both the action and the lighter, slice-of-life moments associated with Tempest. Reception to That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Chronicles reflects its dual identity. Fans of the anime often find enjoyment in the familiar characters, flashy combat, and thematic focus on nation-building, while others view the game as mechanically thin for its scope and price point. The repetition in both combat and management systems becomes more noticeable over time, especially for players seeking a deeper or more challenging RPG experience. Ultimately, ISEKAI Chronicles succeeds most as a celebration of its franchise rather than as a standout action RPG in its own right. Its blend of combat, light management, and story captures the spirit of Rimuru’s rise, offering fans a playable extension of the world they enjoy. While its systems lack the depth to sustain long-term engagement for all audiences, the game delivers a competent and often enjoyable experience for those invested in the Slime universe. For newcomers, it may feel uneven and overly reliant on familiarity, but for dedicated fans, it provides a charming, if imperfect, way to step into the role of Tempest’s beloved ruler. Rating: 5/10
Get it on sale, and really only if you're a fan of the series. Its an alright game, pretty repetitive. The original story is good, but I felt like I was doing the exact same thing every time I got into a dungeon. Not to mention having to do the exact same boss fight so many times in a row. Literally, the story throughs the same character at you, in the same manner, with zero changes. The "city building" aspect isn't great. They could've done more with this game, having said that, I still found myself enjoying the game for what it is, a solid 5/10.
One of the best anime games I've ever played. I really loved this game. I do think the price is too high for what you get, but I still recommend it to fans of the anime. The gameplay loop is simple, along with the city building and its not tailored for people who weren't already fans of the show. The biggest selling point for me was the original story content. I think those parts were really well done. The rest is mostly a recap of the anime. The side stories and quests are also fun to follow.
