Classic tetromino game in VR. One of the most awaited puzzle classics to be played with motion controls. Cute blocks, vivid colors, high scores, MEGA-mode and more to come.

I bought a Gameboy in the early 90's sometime when it was released in Australia. It came with Tetris and I played it a lot until I got one of those cartridges that held a pile of games from someone whose father worked in Japan. Tetris on the Gameboy was fun, addictive and cool. Tetris 27 years or so later in VR sucks arse, it's not fun, it's not addictive and it's certainly not worth 13 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollars. Jesus, people complain about FO4 VR costing $60, this is what you get from indie devs for $13. Yeah 100 or so hours in FO4 VR for $60 or 20 minutes of boredom for $13. ♥♥♥♥ you if you complain about paying AAA price for an AAA game without it this is what we are left with. Overpriced tech demos with no interest in playing. Lucky I got it in a bundle though and I still feel cheated.
Tevris is a ripoff of Tetris (copyright 1984, Alexey Pajitnov). The only innovation here is that it's a (badly made) VR version (hence the name, teVRis). Apart from being VR exclusive, there's no other differentiation from the product, so we can just cross our fingers and hope the developer gets sued. Copyright infringement is no laughing matter, and it does a grave disservice to the gaming industry. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy minimalist/untextured low-polygon "retro" assets and visuals, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the early 1990s. The lack of textures is a method that lazy devs often use to disguise their lack of talent/interest in doing the graphics properly and trying to disguise it under the name of "art", or "We made it look bad on purpose", which really isn't something gamers should have to put up with. It's unclear why the developers weren't willing to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets and high resolution textures for the game. It looks bad as a result of their decisions, and that's just another reason to avoid it. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes the game great is the VR, then the game isn't great at all. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Tevris is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.

It's bad. Like, really bad.
I'm right on the fence about this one, because, on the plus side: It looks fine, it runs smooth, and it plays like Tetris is supposed to play. However, the motion controls can be finicky (I've tossed many a block down into the wrong columns by moving my hand just so slightly) and there isn't anything overly special about it - no background environment, music, and nothing to really take advantage of VR as a platform. Had this been the only VR Tetris games out there, it might've gotten my approval - however there's a 3D Tetris variant that fixes all of those negatives, and takes advantage of being in VR. With that other title available, I can't give this one a thumbs up. So, Thumbs: Down!
I hate to be harsh, but this is garbage.
I have no idea WHY this would be in VR. VR adds nothing. You're playing Tetris simply with hand controls. You spin your hand to rotate the block, and lowering your hand drops the block. Which even that doesn't work anywhere reliably or consistently. I played a mere one game and in that, rotating my hand would instead sometimes make it drop, and lowering my hand would sometimes first cause it to shift left or right a row so that it now dropped in the wrong row. Ugh. Painful.
Serioulsy no point in this game even being in VR.
God, just... no. Controls that spontaneously swap between totally unresponsive or hair trigger. 2 locked view modes, neither of which is even remotely comfortable. Seems to have been designed by people who have never ever used a VR set in their lives. Just horrible.
