Giving it a positive, does not make sense to push it down further. Everyone can find something to pick on, rather to see why it would worth a shot... Not the most polished racing game, but has its charm definitely. I played TDU on PS2, later PC, then TDU2, i had a blast, i also had high hopes for this installment. I see some resemblance, and have nostalgic feeling even. Missions and races are fun, handling is predictable and not too arcadey. The most lacking department is game performance. i have to play on medium to not crash the gpu driver after 5 mins, that's problematic. The slower progression is definitely why it works, decisions matter. If someone wants to jump in and after 2 hours get the fastest car... not gonna happen. TDU was never about this. AI is not that bad, on the highest level with a decent car, pretty enjoyable to race, of course they do stupid things sometimes. After around a 10k hours on all Forza and GT games + some AC, i know what i want from a car enthusiast game. Could have been way better? For sure yes, hope in a couple of years it will evolve further. We need more cars too. Hope the devs do not abandon it. Update after ~30h, close to lv50 I still stand by it, but there are game breaking bugs which i was not aware of, race events, and missions, which cannot be completed at all... after 2+ years, teasing bikes and stuff and not even complete all races are just nonsense. I get the hate, i don't stand by, but false advertising while the game is a mess is not it. Still some posisitves: Car selling is top tier solution, 10-15% cut from the full price of the car + tunes, not a lot of games allows this high resell value, even changing up cars worth it, compared to you got barely nothing in a lot of games. At least the leaderboards are 100% legit, and possible to get top 10-50 with decent runs and feels good that the top time is not a 0:03:11 in a 3minute race... As for collecting all cars, yeah, this game is not made for that if you don't pay maybe if you grind, and by griding i mean playing the game doing races, which are fun, but not 1000 hour fun, And for some reason 4 of the same FORD GT was needed in the game, which makes the collecting part laughable. Still, get it on a sale, and don't spend real money on cars.

I really wanted to like this game. Had lots of fun, pretty much grinded eveything I could, but technical issues are unbearable...
The game forced me to register to Nacon before I even tested it. Because I didn't want to do it, I can't play it. So I'll just leave a bad review here and uninstall the frickin game. I was lucky that I didn't buy the game bundle.
Buggy mess, fallin asleep trying to progress, would be quicker and easier obtaining those cars IRL by working a side job
it's bad.. - poor optimization; - simple physics; - dead, empty map; - no challenge, the difficulty is way too easy and it can't be changed; - unnecessary interiors and actions; - ♥♥♥♥♥♥ music during race that can't be changed despite the game has a radio; - always online; - noise of luxury.
A solid open world racing game. It doesn't have the polish of a Forza Horizon but its still pretty fun and there are some unique things that make it different. I was on the fence about it myself but at 15$ on sale, there's nothing to worry about. I'd say pick it up if you need something between now and FH6!
Even though the game sucked at release. Its very playable right now. I've had it since release, didn't play until a few months ago. If you can pick it up on sale, it's very much worth it!
A missed opportunity. I enjoyed my time with this game, but too many bad decisions hold it back. A shame, because it had the potential to be great.
