There are lots of issues with this game, but for fans of offroading it is still worth playing. It was nice to experience decent offroading other than SnowRunner and Expeditions, but it has much less content compared to those others so it is definitely not a lasting alternative and more like a short vacation that only lasts a few days. This game was in early access for over six years and there was good progress being made, so it is disappointing to see it dumped out as an unfinished 1.0 release. While in EA, the dev updated the game almost every month, but now, the last update was at the beginning of 2025, so it appears to have been abandoned or possibly something has happened to the dev IRL. There are two unavailable maps in the menu, implying there were plans to add more content. It took me four hours to get 100% on all trails and another hour to farm credits to buy all customizations. There are numerous typos throughout, indicating the dev does not care to pay attention to small details or proofread before deciding the game is in a sufficient state for a full release. The game feels like it is still in early access as it is good enough to play, but has many issues that should have been fixed before the actual release. The maps are good but small and this also makes the function of the trailer useless. There is no way to quickly restart a trail after making a mistake and hit detection for cones is extremely inconsistent. Many trails are easy and only take one attempt to get 100%. There is no reason to use any suspension other than the five link and also no reason to use any vehicle bodies with long wheelbases. All performance options are unlocked automatically and the only items that can be purchased are cosmetic. The UI is pretty basic and constantly shows mixed keyboard/controller symbols regardless of which is being used. Even when the FPS limit is disabled, there is still a hidden 120FPS limit which can only be removed by editing the config file. In its current state, this game is only worth about $5. $15 is too much and it has only dropped to $6 at the lowest once, so it is worth waiting for a higher discount and/or until there is more content to make the price worth it.
Not much physics about it. Grib is unlimited. All that matters is clearance, approach/breakover/departure angle, and positioning. No real progression. Can have everything you need unlocked after about 30 minutes. Gameplay is repetitive and boring. No real challenge, if you have any experience with real off road driving. Cones will at times detect hits when no where near them, and at times completely ignore you touching them. The idea of the game is great, and could be a good one, but the execution is lacking.
coming from 100s of hours in Snow Runner, this game is genuinely fantastic. Only, ive completed every course to at least 95% in around 5 hours.. Id love more maps
After about one and a half maps, I can already tell this game has basically zero challenge. I’m not even sure it’s meant to. The physics are fun enough, and some of the vehicles are cool, but overall this feels like pure indie slop. It’s the perfect second-monitor game since it requires almost no attention whatsoever. 5/10.
Well this is surprisingly fun and challenging. Cool basic meaningful customization. Looks great and runs smooth. no crashes at all. definitely Worth the 15 bucks. Especially because of all the AAA trash of 2025
To be clear, this appears to be a dead game. That said, it's the best thing available right now to play rock crawlng. The mechanics are solid, the vehicles are tunable and responsive, and the terrain is pretty realistic. Just be aware that there probably isn't going to be any further content made for the game.
Very fun crawling game, runs and looks great on SteamDeck!
Great game for the gamer off-road enthusiast. Nice physics. A little bit of vehicle customization with a handful of vehicles to pick from.
don't remember playing this but ♥♥♥♥ em
