Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends

Sadly, because it's a very good game where you race classic or modern Ferrari. This legend was very popular in its time, but now it is perceived a little bit outdated. It is like a glass of old Italian collectible wine that you enjoy in the hills of Tuscany, watching two red and rare supercars compete. What's missing is a hot blonde in the passenger seat to create the atmosphere of Out Run game. Eh, there were times before and games were different, with soul... I miss another old and favorite [b]Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed[/b], I would like it on Steam in the collection!

Bought this in 2024 and paid the full $20 price. No regrets! Took about 5 minutes to first login to my GFWL account but it eventually did. It even unlocks Xbox achievements (if that matters to you). Some challenges can be very difficult, even on easy. Playing on Windows 11.

Test Drive Ferrari is not as bad as reviews says mostly i think its mixed rated because of the broken Windows Live crap but like with every game that have it you can bypass it with a simple file: Pros: + 50 ferrari cars (car selection on them are great) + campaign can be somewhat fun (35-40 hours long) + graphics are alright (cars looks great and textures for its time only the trees looks bad) + car sound are great + 13 tracks (39 varriations) Mixed: +-+ handling can somewhat fun but it isnt not really my thing it feels like an slightly improved one from Shift 1 and Shift 2 Unlreashed more on the grippy side but still kinda stiff on most of the cars +-+ carrer mode/campaign can be boring even there are a few game modes also some races feels to long because of the slow Ai/Bots it gets boring then Cons: - some shutters here and there not fully smooth - bad draw distance (op up stuff is annyoing) - bots/ai arent bad they are just to slow even on hard - collison with other cars is still a joke like the other games from the studio Not much to say here it isnt a popular game or anything also nothing speical in this game except some few ferrari cars you never saw in a racing game and also it never goes never on sale alteast i didnt know it. If you like Arcade racing games like NFS Shift 1/2 or GRID than you can find some fun in this game.

I was reading the other reviews and was very surprised when I started playing this game. The car handling is very good and the tracks are fun to drive and the scenery is very realistic and I prefer being in the car than the view of the car driving. The sound effects and commentary are just right and not annoying like some games. I am enjoying seeing all the Ferrari cars from the early models up to testarossas and the likes very impressive. FANTASTIC GAME TO COME BACK TO OVER AND OVER IT IS VERY REALISTIC AND VERY FUN.

So this is a Yes and no type of answer. Yes I do recommend this game as it is alot of fun. But the no part is from the Windows Live being needed. It can be a pain to get Windows Live up and running and if you do get it to work it still can take up to 10mins for the game to work fully and ask for the CD Key. All in all the game is great and pretty fun. Just make sure to find a way to make it work with or without windows live.

This game is basically a spiritual successor to NFS Porsche Unleashed, but it's Ferrari instead. It isn't the best, but it's also not bad. I highly recommend playing this with NFS Porsche Unleashed music in the background. :)

This game is reeeally boring, tracks are way too few and repeating way too frequently... Honestly, they could have taken the idea of NFS Porsche Unleashed/2000 and just improve it... At first in 2012 I thought, wow, finally we gonna get a NFS Porsche Unleashed but with Ferraris! Now, nope, this is definately not the case! I've considered this game for a long time now, but it has never been on sale... Tbh this deserves maxinum half of the price I've bought if for, if not less... Edit: this game feels really soulless, also while proceeding, you notice, that it's really repetitive (speaking of the limitation of tracks), and also starting to get unnecessarily hard at times... I stopped playing at the Debris Avoidance mission, now that annoyed the hell out of me!
