Terra Alia VR: A Multilingual Adventure

Great concept. I would love to play the game more but there is a huge issue with this game even understanding my pronunciation. No matter the pitch, how fast, how slow. I keep failing pronunciation. If I was to repeat a phrase to a Japanese person before they see me they would think I am actually fluent. Saying white flower 8 times before the speech recognition thinks its correct is infuriating. Please do something about this. I would recommend it a thumbs up if this is updated.

So far I've played through the first level. I have a bit of practice speaking / reading / learning Japanese so nothing was too hard yet. I liked the way the quizzes are built into the game. This game is by far a step above any language learning app I've played so far. I will update this review a few times as I get further into the game. Some feedback for the devs: The interaction is a little bit clunky at times It would be great to have controls for the Valve Index controllers in the game as well For Japanese I really wish there was an option to replace Romanji with hiragana / furigana. They're a lot more helpful for reading.

Just begun the adventure, first I bought the wrong version, now I have them both and non-vr version. Before buying be sure to have a mic !!! This is a clever use of voice recognition, mixing learning with adventure/explore/sandbox mechanics. Takes some time to get into, but learning is half the game. Loving it so far, very addictive. Wish there was much more to handle and interact with, perhaps it even have some real LLM ai to talk to in the end...

12月24日，目前仍不可游玩—— 这个游戏设置中没有任何有关于麦克风的设置，当我在游玩过程中到达需要录音的教程时，无论我怎样发声都无法实质性地推进游戏......然而我无从得知到底是系统麦克风设置有误还是根本没有启用麦克风或是我的发音糟糕到系统完全无法识别......因为设置中完全没有麦克风选项——没有设置麦克风、没有麦克风测试、没有未连接或未开麦提示...... 就这么卡在新手教程，无法踏出一步...... 可能可以踏出一步——新手房间的侧门可以直接穿越，这时你会掉出这个世界，越来越深、越来越远，是的，这个游戏甚至没有脱离卡死机制，掉出世界后是无尽的深渊，唯一能做的就是回档，回到一个不知道什么时候的存档。 总之，现在不是购买的时机。等到开发者修复麦克风之后，我再视情况更改这篇测评。

Ich habe das Spiel nun nach 12h durchgespielt, es hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Deutsch - Japanisch ich habe in dem Spiel 268 Wörter gelernt, weiß aber nicht wie viele es Insgesamt gibt. leider hat das Spiel recht viele Bugs shriroi (Weiß) wird siroi im Spiel dargestellt und das bei allen Wörtern mit SH , klar kann man es sich vorlesen lassen dann sagt die Stimme Shiroi, aber wenn ich es nicht voher schon wüsste, etwas Schwierig Wählt man im Kampf Modus zu schnell einen Zauber so hat man unter Umständen, keinen HUD der einen die Wörter zeigt Oftmals wiederholt man die Wörter 10 mal, ist sich aber sicher sie richtig ausgesprochen zu haben. ich habe soger angefangen die Wörter genau wie die stimme zu imitieren damit es gewertet wird es gibt eine Stelle (in der Stadt) wo man Statuen in gewisse Richtungen schauen lassen muss, an der Statue Steht dann nur Kanji (chinesische Bildersprache) , dann muss man im Wörterbuch das sehr träge ist nach diesen Kanji suchen (da hatte ich so rund 180 Wörter) Im lezten Boss kampf konnte ich Zauber ohne Wörter Casten (schätze das ist nicht so gewollt) Einige Objekte würden garnicht angezeigt , zb die Karotten Einige Objekte in den Ständen wahren an der falschen Position , also die hit box war darunter Trotz Allem ein gutes Spiel, wer eine Sprache Spielend lernen will, dem sei gesagt man lernt eher einzelne Wörter, es gibt auch Sätze die meist vom System nicht erkant werden wenn sie zu lang sind. insgesamt waren es so 50 Sätze Schätze ich Ich hoffe es wird noch etwas daran gemacht, mehr Inhalt , weniger Bugs, kann es aber Trotzdem Empfehlen wenn es mal im Angebot ist ^^

It is a fanciful game with a fun way of disguising repetition. It has a few issues but all in all it is a fun experience and I do enjoy this fun way to practice. The multiplayer is a great idea; however, no one plays it. Since no one plays it, the multiplayer is unusable. The only thing this game and company are missing is more advertisement and publicity.
