Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Just genuinely bad. In a world where romhacks like Reborn are free and fakemon games like cassette beast are cheaper Temtem makes the bold choice to be a generic gen 1 clone that doesn't even compare to the mediocratic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that has been the pokemon games. Avoid, save your money and hope that pioneers at least isn't so obviously cheap in looks, gameplay and general feel.
You see the price and think to yourself that it has to be good. Then you play it, realize it’s mid, and every hope you had for it evaporates faster than your refund window. What evolution pocket game makes a majority of the creatures evolve once or not at all.

It's not Pokemon, but honestly, this does everything that I wish Pokemon did when I was a kid ✨ Temtem is basically “Pokémon as an MMO,” and that’s exactly what it sets out to be. As someone who grew up on Pokémon, this felt like stepping into an alternate timeline where Game Freak actually modernized the formula, but it’s not Pokémon. The devs clearly worked hard to build a similar experience without crossing legal lines, and that shows in the core design. + Tactical Combat: Every battle is a double battle, requiring more strategy than just trading hits. You can’t spam your best moves either, attacks are tied to a stamina system, which forces thoughtful play. Stronger moves may only be available after a few turns, and pushing past your stamina bar punishes you. + Unique Type System: Instead of the usual Fire/Water/Grass triangle, Temtem has types like Digital, Crystal, and Wind. I found this harder to learn at first; mostly because I’m used to Pokémon logic, but the system is clearly well thought-out. + Strong UI & Modern Features: The UI is excellent: clean, modern, and actually looks next-gen. Load times were incredibly fast for an MMO. Pronoun options in character creation were a great touch that added inclusivity I wish more games had, especially games like Pokémon. – Weak Story: The core story didn’t hold my interest. Like Pokémon, it felt skippable, just a reason to walk between fights. For a game that nails so many mechanical improvements, the writing felt like a missed opportunity. – MMO World Feels Messy: Seeing other players just freeze in place when they enter battle, often clipping into each other, made the world feel cluttered. I would’ve liked a simple “disable other players” toggle to enjoy the game solo without distractions. Personal Context: I haven’t played an MMO seriously since RuneScape Classic, so some of the live-player noise might be more frustrating to me than others. But I still think a cleaner solo experience should be an option, especially with how polished the rest of the game feels. Final Rating: 7.8 / 10 It’s a smart, tactical, well-polished evolution of the monster battler formula. Just don’t expect a great story or a clean MMO world.

I am currently in the middle of my third playthrough, second doing co-op with a friend. This game is fantastic, and I'd say the absolute best alternative to playing Pokemon. The co-op system works very very well, and it makes sense. Having every battle be a double battle leads to a lot of different feeling situations even with the same Tem's on the field. Also it has built in challenge modes. Plus, at least from what I can tell, all micro transactions are gone. You just have access to everything and can use in game mechanics to build the currency for them. There's a lot they should do for a sequel, but I think they did game one more than right. Grab it on sale for sure, though full price IS worth the experience you'll have, especially if you're a Pokemon fan looking for a different but similar experience. Especially especially if you want to tag-team that experience with your best friend.
I cannot really recommend Temtem as of now due to these things: 1. Can't choose which temtems to use when battle starts! 2. Temtem legit made my pc crash during battles ( pretty sure it's only Temtem cause i also play other *more demanding* games and they do not BSOD me) 3. Can't see which elements are my Temtems NOR what elements are my opponents!!!! How absurd is this lol 4. Same as 3. the synergies are a cool concept but as a new player i'm put off by it cause i don't know what synergies with what at and have no way to check except going to Wiki and spoiling myself, also can't see which attack deals more damage due to being unable to remember every Temtem i encountered. Other than that, the game is really cute and not bad by any means, but since i'm used to a lot of quality of life upgrades it's just putting me off. Solid 6/10 as of now when i first start playing it 3/7/2025 for measly 1.3h
Boring, lame and sleep inducing. No thanks
While this is a charming little game with a fun idea, at it's very core the thing that I take issue with is that you could be 12 levels higher than something and it can still take half your health out in one move. No matter how much you grind, you're always going to be squishy and I really hate that.
the more you play the game the more you will realise its a hollow shell of un-fun mechanic masquerading as a pokemon game.
