Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate

Loved the gameplay but do hope to have wider variety of enemies and a longer storyline - so gameplay wont feel repetitive after a few rounds of beating the game. If you're craving a hit of nostalgia like me, this is it for you.

Not super bad, but not that good either. Fun enough to play every now and then, but this is also a very direct Hades - clone, and Hades just does everything way better. TMNT is nostalgic, and the game feels cool thematically. But the gameplay is kind of.. ehh. WAY, way too much metaprogression, and the metaprogression isn't the fun kind either. You just keep increasing %damage, %health, %currency.. nothing interesting. The game would've been much better off if metaprogression was only unlocks. The runs also feel dull at the start, and then turn tedious towards the end. Like, the first zones of a run are trivial, while at the later zones enemies get really bullet spongy and spam tons of AOEs that keep you from doing damage. The upgrades during runs are also mostly.. lame. Pick your flavour of "attacks do x damage", kinda. Few things interact with each other beyond the basic "do x extra foo damage, and increased foo damage".

The game is buggy to the point it is frustrating to play. The run details popup, which covers the whole screen pops up randomly during battle frequently, while the enemies keep attacking you, reducing your health. This basically ruins your run. Also sometimes the options menu stops working (you can't open it). Difficulty is way to hard, makes the game much grindier than it should be. Otherwise there's a fun game underneath, but I stopped playing after a few hours due to these issues.

If you like the gameplay of game like Hades and SWORN but with a TMNT story, this is your game. Highly recommend, high replayability, especially due to co op.

This game is a TMNT themed Hades clone. It's super fun and full of the TMNT charm you'd expect with the same gameplay you'd find in a Hades clone. Highly recommend if you like Hades-like games or TMNT.

It's pretty fun, but they went WAY overboard with the enemy area attack spam. Other than that, everything is smooth, stable and well designed.

Actually a pretty good game. Faithful to original games and cartoons. Voices are well done. Great pickup when on sale.
