Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 18 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The Game ist still in a very early stage but the Developers seem very open with what the future content will bring and if you want to create a good game together with the Devs, I believe this could be your chance. That said, you get now a very professional tutorial (something I have never seen that good in a RTS) and 2 Maps you can play against KI. So keep in mind that the content now is small. Multiplayer will be added in late 2019 (thats what they told me). A lot of work ahead but this Game with a lot of work could become a very nice RTS people will talk about.
I want to love this game, it's exactly what I was looking for. But it's half baked and does not deliver on it's promises. It should still be in early access, this is not something I would considered "released". It's like they gave up 60% of the way through development and said "might as well release it, we're not going to finish it." My main issues, since it's listed as released (would no consider these problems in a beta/early release scenario) - Literal messages that say "insert_unit_message_here" - Select all troops is finicky, only sometimes gets all troops or selects all and half ignore commands - When multiple troops selected and click to attack only half move or only one set of troops attack while 10+ sets just sit there being attacked and don't do anything - Lack of any real tutorial (more below) Tutorial: it just says "Build continuous troops and send them here" and how to do that... but with no details on how to handle resources to keep building troops. You can figure out how to do this, but you have to click around and figure out how to handle farms, upgrades, additional barracks, etc... all on your own as you're being attacked. This was only from the first mission. I've put in to have the game refunded as I can't justify the cost in this state of "released". I assume the Devs are done with this and have no plans to fix these issues or improve this game if it was delivered in this state.

Picked it up, it is not bad, but doesn't fill the void of a good RTS game. Everything builds itself and you just manage the troops. The troops are a bit clumsy around terrain and they just have simple attack and passive modes. So you really can't hold position and engage unless engaged and the troops do not return to their held locations so your really have to micro managing the troops. Not horrible, if I could star rate it I would give it 3.5/5.
Follow our curator for similar games
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35180752-3-point-play/ Age of Empires II like + good tutorial - controls somewhat clunky = Still a nice RTS game with campaign mode. Units moving and attacking didn't always follow commands, so had to click multiple times.
This Game needs a lot of work still and the voice acting is probably the worst ive ever come across in a game. but it has solid foundations and a lot of potential to be an amazing game. im really looking forward to seeing the final outcome and was happy to pay the price for supporting it. Good Job One Ocean allthough i hope your going to add walls!
Taste of Power is a very good strategy game. There is a good variety in the troops you can choose. There are 3 sides to choose: European Confederation, Chinese Empire and Timurid Khalifat. The graphics are also good. I think the game has a very good price for what you receive. Take a look at the battle between Europe and the Khalifat: https://youtu.be/GP9lky2PxeY
TASTE OF POWER A Broken, poorly optimized, garbage RTS with surprising decent Graphics... The option menu is fairly void of any real ability to set certain levels of graphics or sound. You play with three civs that are fighting in this alternate time period, Europeans, Asian and Arabic nations. The city management seems pretty well put together, you can set villagers to collect resources or set to build structures. I honestly believe this could have been good if it baked alittle longer with the right team.. So far not so bad right? Well here is the biggest f*cking issue that kills it for me, path finding and unit attack commands barley work.. I sent a large army to the enemy and only half the soldiers do anything.. they literally just stand there till there killed or the few actually win. Absolute trash and I would not recommend this game at all, its really bad and the few reviews paint that picture well. 3/10
游戏里面没有中文选项啊。。。画质有点。。堪忧。。options not language not chinese
Yet another dead game. It has some promise, but only some parts of campaigns are playable.
Taste of Power is a real-time strategy game that absolutely nails the classic RTS vibe (namely RTSes released during the genre's heyday between the late 90s and the early 2000s). For an indie game (from a small studio), the content this game is able to offer is pretty impressive. Taste of Power comes with a full-fledged campaign and several other game modes like survival (focusing more on the defensive gameplay), confrontation (a.k.a. skirmish), and multiplayer mode; plus 3 unique factions, with each featuring more than 15 different types of units.
Watch me play!
Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22q-_RHdamg Part 2 (because my internet decided to quit on me): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=io_gnyQsTFk - Played several levels of campaign, right up until I encounter a bug that forces me to replay the level. The gameplay here is mainly focused around warfare, whereby using the correct unit counters and/or abilities, in addition to having overwhelming numbers, will really make a difference between a win and a defeat. You can also group your units into custom battalions and send them into battle as necessary. The empire management aspect of the gameplay, on the other hand, is pretty much automated here - you just need to assign your villagers in each village to the task you want them to do, whether it is to trade with another friendly village to earn gold, gather resources (only 1 type) or build stuff, and they will do it automatically. Automation is a pretty neat idea here since it'll allow you to focus more on your battles. Similar to any RTS game, there are several different types of buildings in Taste of Power. Houses are needed to increase your population limit, forts and barracks are needed to build troops, and garrisons are built to protect your village. There are also various other buildings, which goes by different names depending on the faction you play, that will let you upgrade your units' stats or unlock a new ability. You can and should set up more villages too, mainly because the more villages you have, the more trades and hence, gold you'll get.
Pros
+ Impressively in-depth tutorial (Art of War mode) + Well-varied units + Only 3 factions but each faction has their own unique strengths + Nice graphics! + Many game modes - campaign (with several difficulty levels), survival, confrontation and multiplayer. + You can amass a pretty huge army - 1000 population cap. + Lots of replayability even after you've completed the campaign = The price is right!
Cons/Feedback
- Bugs and glitches > I ended up getting stuck in the Chinese part of the campaign because I decimated all enemy cities before the campaign objectives said that I should. > After setting up spikes, your Imperials is basically stuck in place - you won't be able to ask them to pack up the spikes or get them to move away from the barricade they've built. > Units may sometimes get stuck and there's no way for you to force kill your own units to free up some population slots. - Not the best voice acting (campaign) - Highlighting units doesn't seem to work well if you start your highlight above a building - You'll select the building instead. - Game's a bit clunky at times.
Overall
Taste of Power definitely gave me a shot of nostalgia with its somewhat classic-like RTS gameplay. The game also has lots of content, including a unique Survival mode, which further bolster its replayability - I should clarify that the level of content here may not be on the same level as Rise of Nations or AoE since there are a lot more factions and maps there, but I'd say it's probably around the level of games like Red Alert. Unfortunately, the game still has some pretty bad bugs that may frustrate some players. So, unless you're a huge fan of RTS games and are a pretty patient gamer, it might be best to wishlist the game first.
