Tap Derby: Horse Racing

It follows the formula of other horse racing management games such as Starter's Orders or Pocket Stables. Compared to them this is probably the easiest for anyone to pick up and start. And for only $5 the game is as good as you make it. The game is endless it only ends when you decide its over. The gameplay loop is you buy horses from auctions train them in 3 stats enter them in races that fit their preference and then keep them fit. Very typical for horse racing games, it does a great job of sucking you in and wanting to keep going further even after you told yourself you'd take a break.

Absolutely loved Tap Derby! Nothing beats the adrenaline of pumping you're horse through training and winning that big race!

Simple but fun management game

This game is a hidden gem! I love playing horse racing games and can't find many that are good and keep my focus and this game has me playing it non stop! I can't wait to see any future updates

I wasn't really expecting much out of this game but frankly its addicting. Sure there could be some more features and some little things could be cleaned up here and there but its a fun game at its core. If you were ever addicted to the flash game greyhound tycoon this game will satisfy that itch. I have gotten more out of this 5 bucks than I have with most of the bigger games I buy.

Too random. The races aren't really random, you don't get cheated in those, but the training is too random. If I train, my fitness doesn't get better like it should. If I don't train, my fitness drops because I didn't train. I mean I'm assuming it's random. It might be a bug. Who knows? No-one has posted in the forum for months so it's not like you have an active community or devs here who can sort that out. This did only cost me like two bucks (on sale), so I can't get too mad. But still, just shell out the extra money and get something more comprehensive or get on your phone and pick up the Kairosoft game which is in the same price range as this (I think it's called Pocket Stables).

Really great game for the price point. Very active dev that will respond to your comments. I play a lot of management games, and this one has stuck out as a simple but complex horse management game. I feel like I can sink my teeth into it for hours, and still there is a lot left to explore. The amount of races with their complexities, and how the horses perform keep me coming back. My best stallion I keep sending to the spa so I can get his total winnings up! It's a crazy good game that utilizes AI randomization. You keep going back to the horse auction looking for specific stats. Thinking which horses can do which races, and if they will preform well. I have had three of my horses race in the same race over and over again. It's fun to watch the personality of the horses come out on the screen. Each one does something different at each stage of the race. This game is really great. I highly recommend the $5 price tag I can see at least 100 hours of game play to really understand the systems. I usually don't ever recommend games either. If you don't pick this one up your missing out on a real gem.
