Amazing characters, charming setting and an intriguing mystery; the kind of experience that leaves you craving for more (and luckily a sequel just came out). My only semi-gripe with this title is that the first entry of the series (which I highly recommend playing) is barely hinted at. It felt like a weird narrative decision, maybe to not confuse new players? I say 'semi-gripe' because I personally like it, though: leaving a deeper, more nebolous background of dots for the player to connect is an interesting experience in itself.

Let me just start this by saying 10/10 amazing game. I remember the first time I played and I was both super interested and scared just from the atmosphere alone. The room design is perfect the rooms that needed to be creepy were creepy; the ones that needed to give their character more personality had that personality. The character designer needs some kind of award because I have never been more invested in certain characters before I played Tangle Tower. I certainly have a favorite from the Tangle Tower cast but Grimoire and Sally are perfect main characters. They work super well off of each other; their banter feels like it could happen and not one sided. Sally isn't the only one making jokes and Grimoire isn't the one who is super locked in the whole time. They balance each other out so well and they make (in my opinion) one of the best duos that I've ever seen. There are so many other good things I could say about Tangle Tower and the whole series in general, it's impressive how much the quality has improved since secret of the swamp! Once again an amazing game go play it for yourself! TL;DR 10/10 great game, va's, and artwork. no jumpscares
