Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.86/day in the week to Aug 23 → 8.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pretty neat point and click adventure. The artstyle is appealing, the banter is fun, the mystery is intriguing and it's generally a pretty good laidback game with good vibes. However the ending is sadly so disappointing it brings this down from "easy recommend" to barely eking out a recommend. Still worth it on sale, and a generally good time 80% throughout, but you unfortunately can't go into this expecting a satisfying conclusion.
An absolutely amazing detective game - beutiful artwork, characters and scenery, marvelous voice acting and a really engaging mystery to solve. A likable, if somewhat incompetent goofball of a detective and a snarky, mildly unimpressed yet reliable partner will always make the perfect duo for a crime novel

Lovely detective game, stunning art and fun puzzles to solve. Ending left a bit to be desired but really enjoyed my time with it overall.
Really fun point and click mystery game with fun puzzles and the most unique character designs ive seen in a long time. worth the buy 100%
Very well written plot and a good pace make this game really enjoyable! Definitely recommend.
I will remember my experiece with this game forever, I think. And yes, I recommend this game. I think I would recommend it 1000x over if I can. To set the scene, I had played the original Detective Grimoire for only an hour into the game before I gave up on it. Something about that game felt extremely boring. I wasn't interested in the story, or the characters, which is what these games thrive on since there isn't much gameplay outside of that. Listening to the characters talk was more of a chore. I ended up following the developers over on Instagram and seeing that they made Crow Country and Haunt the House, both games I absolutely love. After seeing some advertisement about their upcoming game, The Mermaid Mask, and seeing that Steam was having a sale, I decided to get this game, banking on the chance that I would like it better. Like is not the word I would use here. I didn't close the game once during my playthrough. I didn't even think about it. The game just held my focus, and not in in the predatory way that a lot of modern games do. My focus was purely out of interest and curiosity. There was just something so perfect that held my attention all the way to the end. I was itching to explore. To talk to everyone. To click on everything. And, I did. I loved this game. It has shot up into my top 10, which is very hard to do for me. I'm just so picky. The game being weird, I think, is what did it for me. The weird art style and voice actors. The weird house in the middle of a weird lake, packed with two weird families. The characters feeling like they're real instead of just a way to discover clues or hints. I think I would do anything for Fifi, but I think I had a strong attachment to most characters by the end. The result of many unfortunate situations, some of which I can relate to all too well. I will absolutely be checking out The Mermaid Mask when I can and whatever other games these developers put out. It's clear there's a lot of passion behind these games and that's what gives the gaming industry life.
The mystery was pretty alright, small annoyance was that even if you had a working hypothesis, you needed to trigger certain dialogue/clue options to pursue the lead. The hint system helped to minimize a lot of the brute forcing. The ending had quite a dramatic flair to it, but thinking deeper you reveal there are quite a number of plot holes that make the truth seem odd. Still a good short bite though.
Fun and interesting adventure game! Well worth the time.
