Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game is cute but the story is literally 2 mins and after that it’s just rinse and repeat make food grab stuff from the board max ur relationships like that’s it I got bored after a while
It's just ok! Definitely repetitive and a bit tiresome after a bit... you basically just run (literally, there's no fast travel or anything... you just run around on foot, which can take a full in game day lol) around collecting stuff, hoarding it, and cooking food. And if you don't cook food, your neighbors get testy with you and you lose friendship points or whatever. I wouldn't say it's terrible but I also wouldn't say it's fantastic. Would buy it on sale, not full price. The character creation is pretty cute, however!
I'm not sure where to start. I watched several people play the demo for this game before it came out and I liked it but not enough to buy it. I never really saw a convincing enough review to really look at it again. I have played video game since forever. My first game was, you guessed it, Pong. 1977 we got it for Christmas, what a let down. I couldn't play that game to save my life! Not only that, I hated it and there was nothing else out there, nothing at all. Today, you can find a game to tickle whatever your fancy is, and I mean whatever!?! With that said, I don't think I have ever played a game like this one, of course I have 900 hours into Stardew, and countless hours into Animal crossing, not to mention the 96 other games I have on Steam. The graphics, while they are not hard core ram gobbling intensive, they are stunning and the attention to detail is outstanding. The way each season give into the next almost makes me feel like I'm there. I can smell the snow melting and the Cherry blossoms on the spring breeze. The map of the Shire is breath taking. I have wondered every mile at least a million times and sometimes I still don't know where I am. At first I thought it was because of the birds but later I realized it was just the stunning scenery changing with the seasons and the intricacy of the landscape. What a beautiful place! The game play is engaging. I never thought I was one for having tasks to undertake but the way the are integrated into the gameplay, and the story, makes them feel non grindy in the least. I was sure I was going to hate the cooking but, I love the challenge of it! If I continue on we will be here all night, this is a stunning game with an equally engaging story and I don't think you will be disappointed. Enjoy!!
If you're looking for a deep, expansive game. Don't play this. If you're looking for chill, relax while gaming vibes AND you like LOTR, A- game. Worth it.
Chill as f, gather, cook, make merry all day long until you realise its 2am and its a school night
Ask yourself these questions: 1. Are you looking for something cozy that lets you enjoy fantasy setting with some elbow grease needed? 2. Do you enjoy stylized visuals and taking your time with progression and caring for the NPC relations? 3. Are you okay with some repetition and bit lower FPS at times? 4. Are you okay (as a Hobbit) not being able to smoke pipe or make/drink alcohol/drinks or have vast social gameplay? If you answered to any "No" then this game s not for you. And that is fine. Everyone else, enjoy and make most of it :) It is for sure a game with its downs, but try to play it with a mindset of "chilling and enjoying" it is grindy and gets repetitive at times. I have enjoyed my time with the game and I believe you can too. This game is bit like stardew valley, but it is not it. You can do many things, but the depth is not as deep. This game is LOTR game, but do not expect great adventures or all your favorite characters. This is a small season based collection, farming and food based game with Hobbits and it has been great and I cannot wait to go back and play it more. Free tip: Pace yourself this game is not about speed or completion of the main quest line/achievements. TL;DR: Mindset matters with this one a lot :D played on low end PC & steamdeck
I had such a cozy time with Tales of the Shire ♡ It’s a simple, laid-back game where you settle into life as a Hobbit in Bywater and spend your days farming, fishing, foraging, cooking, decorating your home and getting to know everyone around town. The scenery is also really beautiful, and I loved watching Bywater change as the seasons passed (especially autumn and spring, everything looked sooo beautiful!). I do think it’s worth knowing what to expect before going into it, though. This isn’t a big Middle-earth adventure with combat or a huge world to explore. Instead, it focuses on the quieter side of Hobbit life and all those little everyday things that come with it. The map itself isn’t particularly big, but more areas and hidden spots open up as you progress, and what you can find while exploring can change with the seasons, weather and time of day. Cooking is also a pretty big part of the game, since sharing meals is one of the main ways you build friendships with your neighbours. I really liked the idea behind it and how naturally it fits into Hobbit life, although the cooking itself is quite basic and I would have loved a little more interaction and variety. I can understand why the game hasn’t been for everyone, especially if you were hoping for something a little bigger or more in-depth. There are definitely areas where I found myself wanting more too. The main story is really short, and some quests can be tedious when they send you back and forth across the map. Some activities also become repetitive, and I especially would have loved more things to unlock and work towards later in the game. But despite those little things, I really enjoyed my time in it. I think this is the kind of game that becomes much more enjoyable when you don’t rush through it. Take your time decorating your Hobbit home, working on your garden, gathering ingredients, wandering around, improving your friendships and simply enjoying the little routines of each day. The story can be finished fairly quickly, but there’s no reason to hurry through it. And if you decide to give it a go, you might just come across a familiar wizard somewhere in Bywater! ✦˚.🍄 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3795420066
Game is fun and cozy but admittedly light on content. The main story can be played through in just over 10 hours. For the cost, this is little disappointing as once the main story is finished there isn't much motivation to continue playing for me personally.
