Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of The Rings™ Game

Despite the lack of voice acting and visuals that aren't exactly groundbreaking (though that's probably just personal preference), I had a really good time with this game. The cooking mechanics feel fresh and unique, and the interactions with the hobbits are genuinely cute and made me laugh more than once. After about 10 hours, the quests do start to get a little repetitive, and the map feels a bit small, but it never completely took away from the experience. Overall, it's a charming little game that's well worth the price if you're looking for something cozy and wholesome.

I have been waiting for this game to be on sale so I could try it for myself. TO be fair, I am a huge LoTR fan...Including being a lifetime member of the LOTRO MMORPG game. This is a nice and lovely jaunt in the land of Middle Earth. The game is very immersive & fairly accurate to Hobbit lore. There are surprise visits of main characters and also staple secondary/third level characters from the stories that literally live in the village of Bywater with you at the start of the 3rd age ME. The mechanics are fairly straight forward and easy. Time passes quickly & i wish it would be a little slower but overall it is enjoyable. You can cook, forage, fish & go on little quests within the greater Bywater area. I am hoping the game expands to other areas within the Shire so we can become "explorers" as well. There are many places I would like to see in this game. I would say, for a quiet and relaxing game after a long day...this is a perfect fit. I will continue to play this game...as I am 12 hours in and still seems not even halfway done with the plot. I am excited for winter and spring after autumn is over. I will recommend this to my other LoTR fans as a good little jaunt of a game.

Looked like a cute promising game but unfortunately for a game thats still in ps3-ps4 graphics it does not run well on steam deck, just entering the character creation alone crashed the system three times! I've never had to refund a product before but this one is now on the list, save your money its not even worth the discounted price.

With over 40 hours in this game, I can safely say that I adore this game. I really like the cooking, fishing and gathering of all ingredients used in the dishes you make. Are there some bugs? Yeah, but nothing game crashing or progress stalling. Mostly weird camera angels when decorating your house or placing planters. I also once saw a bird floating in mid air, which made me snort laugh. I also love all the NPCs you can befriend.

This game has some issues, but I still love it. I love it even though the hobbits all kinda look the same and uncanny and there’s nothing to do besides your usual routine and decorating after finishing the village recognition quest. I’d love a DLC with some extra content, but I also fear the price tag scares a lot of people away. I wouldn’t say there’s enough there to warrant 34.99 US but definitely grab it on sale if you like cozy games. Other people have mentioned the inventory issue, which you fix by beelining (heh) Delphinium’s quests, which first requires unlocking the task board. Yeah. It can be a bit obtuse and frustrating (there are also side quests only found by stumbling into tiny glowing spots not shown in the map) and yet I love to run around and forage. I love the cooking mechanics. The atmosphere itself is perfect. I also love that if you’re out too late the only punishment is you wake up later the next day. It’s a good game for all its flaws is what I’m saying.

Muito fofinho e aconchegante, gostei das casinhas e que voce pode decorar ela e ser um hobbit, nota 100, acho que faltou ter mais mapa, tipo outras cidades para visitar, mas estou no começo então devo esperar mais um tempo para desbloquear tudo

This game is so good. Characters well written, right level of difficulty without feeling monotonous, and just good old Lord of the Rings lore. It feels like comfort food when you play. BRING SNACKS!

Along the lines of Stardew Valley, Sun Haven, and other cozy life games. There's no combat, you are a new hobbit settling into village life with cooking, farming, foraging, and fishing. The characters are fun (I really enjoy Nefi and Rosie) and the story is entertaining. There are still some glitches but I've not run into any game breaking ones, mostly just a couple like a cooking quest not registering I completed it or a fishing one saying I didn't catch the fish.
