Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

For players wondering if they'd like it its very similar to Palia. I love how relationships are food related and how you don't have to upgrade gear/tools! its super cozy and I'd totally reccomend

Every market we collect.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Slow but pretty relaxing.
Everything I love in this game is dragged down by something I don't. Overall mid experience
I am a huge Tolkien fan and at first I thought this was going to be just a cute game to introduce to my children. 10 hours later and I am thoroughly enjoying the hobbit life.
I love this game so much!! This game was a source of fun that made me binge-play for hours, and I'm already planning my second save. Please make a Tales of the Shire 2!!! This game is charming, fun, and is just perfect for cozy game fans. Do not expect this game to be an action packed Peter Jackson trilogy with Sauron and his lackeys. If you are a fan of LOTR, you know exactly how laid back hobbits are. This is a hobbit game. If you like hobbits, you will love Tales of the Shire. Pros: + Fun and cute + A great plus for LOTR fans + Cozy and slow paced + Charming characters and story Cons: - Some bugs - Not very long - Not lore deep - Memory leak issues Tales of The Shire is charming little gem of a game. It really brings you into the hobbit lifestyle; I felt like my character was always a part of The Shire! Some of the characters in the books are also main characters in the game, like Old Noakes and Sandyman, giving them more personality and a background, which I thought was very nice. We also get mentions of other main characters of LOTR and the Fellowship, mainly, Gandalf. The cooking mini game is fantastic! It's been a while since I last enjoyed a cooking mini game as I did with this one, it even inspired me to try some of the in-game recipes! The gardening was a bit complex, but it's understandable enough. Now, the foraging is quite cumbersome at times, and many of the bugs I've encountered were around items not spawning, but at least those problems were fixed with the last update. I think what most people did not understand with this game, and what made them frustrated, was the social aspect of the hobbit life. Everything in this game is surrounded by the social aspect of the hobbits, the meals you can hold with them and by feeding the hobbit friends with their favourite craving. You have to hold meals everyday with your hobbit neighbours, it is very integral to obtaining better quality items, unlocking areas, increasing the size of your smial and so much more. My final verdict is, do not expect this game to be something else. Tales of the Shire was made for the people who love the hobbit lifestyle: carefree, calm, with a belly full of food. This is not an action game, this is not some lore-deep dungeon crawler; if you want that kind of game, there are tons of them out there.
Bought this game cause of the hype and it does have a lot of potential. It's got some great elements but it does read like the devs just took the money and ran. There's barely any customization options for designing your hobbit. The cooking aspects are good but it's not really fully explained to start with. Controller support is good but you miss out on other cooking aspects. I do enjoy this game but if the devs are gonna leave it as is the only hope for quality of life and customization options is the modding community and right now there isn't much in the modding community
it is kind of simple plot line but it is fun so far. I hope that you can do more to the house later.
such a cute chill game.
Also, gut überlegen!! Great game, but it has a habit of randomly shutting down the computer. You can have all the updates installed, the battery (on my Lab) is fully charged, and you can save your progress. But the game just decides, "Hey, that's it, shut it down!"... It's so annoying!! It's infuriating... and of course, this only happens after the return period has expired!! So, think carefully!!
