Prices

Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

its fun to mess around with before final fantasy tactics comes out

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.22/day in the week to Aug 4 → 2.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

bought it, played it for a few hours and the menu/unit placement interface with a mouse and keyboard is horrid. there are so many tactics games out there that have fluid smooth interfaces with menus that make sense, this game is not one of them. if you like miss clicking and awkward menus this is the game for you. if you don't like being frustrated navigating the game there are many other tactics games out there that wont irritate you.
No me creo que le metí 465 hrs y me hice el 100% de los logros! me encantó a pesar de lo tedioso que fue!
Now once upon a time, an old man told me a fable When the piper is gone and soup is cold in the table And when the black crow flies, to find a new destination That is the sign! Come tonight! Come to the ogre site! Come to Ogre Battle fight! Now, with that out of my system, let's get to the review. I really wasn't sure if I would give this game a thumbs up or not. I thought about quitting this game several times, and past the 30 hour mark I was straight up not having fun with it anymore, but since I had tried beating this game twice already before (once in an SNES emulator and then on the PSP re-release), I owed to myself to see this game through. Still, with almost 100 hours clocked into the game, I couldn't just give it a thumbs down. For context, this 100 hours includes the entirety of the Lawful Route, the Coda epilogue, and all the levels on all of the optional dungeons (including the excruciatingly long Palace of the Dead, with it's 100 floors). In any case. It is very much a Super Nintendo game despite the new release coat around it. It expects a lot of time from you to see all its content, and almost none of the optional dungeons are any good and they stick around for way longer than they are welcome. The story itself is quite alright - there is a big fork in the end of Chapter 1 which was a very twisty plot twist at the time and it still holds up to this day but the story never hits that high note again. Other than that, it's a very simple Tactical RPG, being one of the first of its kind and all. In that sense, it's alright. Don't expect it to be as mechanically complex like Final Fantasy Tactics (a game that is very much the real sequel to this game), this is, after all, an SNES game and one of the first of its kind. Now lets talk about the re-release. The orchestrated soundtrack is stellar and there are a couple of tracks that just straight-up made me stop and listen to the music during the fights. It's that good. What is not as good is the interface. The game _can_ be played with a keyboard and mouse but it has severe problems with it and essentially works as if you had a controller sometimes; I hardly ever got through a fight without having at least one hiccup with the interface not updating which square I had selected on the battlefield and having me confirm an order on the wrong square. The keybinds for some commands (like camera turning, something you have to do a lot in certain maps) are in a terrible place and if you rebind 'em to any button that is used for literally anything else on any other part of the interface you're gonna have problems with it. That being said, this is essentially an SNES game that's been hacked to hell and back to work with a keyboard and mouse, so I understand why it works the way it does. What I also did not appreciate was the filter that made all pixel art look a bit smudgy and I wished it had an option to disable it on the menu. The voice acting (at least in the English localisation) is also inconsistent not just in quality of delivery but also in sound mixing, and leaves a lot to be desired, although I would be lying if I said it never had its moments; still, it's more like something that It's There than a big feature of the game. The rest of the localisation is pretty good and I quite liked the way the dialogue is written and some other touches that makes it a much better experience than what you'll find in the SNES fanslation from like 300 years ago when I first played this game. Overall, this is the best way to enjoy a classic, just know that it has some Jank on the interface and it's nowhere near as good as it's sequel (FFT). If it is worth the price tag over playing the original or the PSP re-release on an emulator, however, I'm not so sure; I got it on sale for $23.99 but maybe if it was a $9.99 title this wouldn't be up for debate; at a $59.99 pricepoint, I'd say just wait for a sale or play the PSP version on an emulator.
辣鸡游戏+日厂的幽默定价,吹这个的建议吃点好的
Best tactic style game I've ever played. I never played the original so I don't have a lot of baggage that a lot of the complaints are about it being different from original in certain aspects. It's fun and has a lot of game play for the price.
mostly fine but some fights you just have to pray to rnjesus or you have zero chance to win, game also gives enemy leaders buff cards from the start of battle at a certain point which is just terrible.
This is my first TO experience and I am very satisfied with the overall game. The story is amazing, voice acting is perfect, and the gameplay refreshing. Most of the negative reviews I have seen are comparing it to old versions, which I brushed off, so if you enjoy this game genre this is a great addition to your library. I enjoy the level cap as it forces you to play the story with a reasonable amount of challenge throughout, with a little bit of grind, which can easily be managed for those who don't like to 'train' by setting up a party with AI automation. Best of both worlds IMO. What I fine mildly annoying is the equipment/inventory management. I find myself sending a bit too much time equipping and unequipping items/skills/spells/etc. for the individual, so I would like to see them incorporate a selection option to remove certain things from your party to speed this process up as they have some other features such as "upgrade all eligible" which gave me this thought.
