Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
Maybe it's just the age of the core mechanics, and I would have enjoyed this when it launched...but my god. I've tried so many times to enjoy this game and it is just the most boring thing I have ever played. Couldn't hold my attention at all.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.22/day in the week to Aug 4 → 2.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Best tactic style game I've ever played. I never played the original so I don't have a lot of baggage that a lot of the complaints are about it being different from original in certain aspects. It's fun and has a lot of game play for the price.
Excellent game!! Kept me busy for months. Entertained and fully addicted for a long time!! Definitely worth it.
Alot of issues with this game, camara action is the worse its really bad does not allow u to move durring play so most of the time u can not hit your target or even highlight it. char are really bad looks like they have just copied and pasted from another basic game, skills and items are hard to use in a way where its hard to work if its worth changeing weapon or skill. vlv up does not allow u to pick where your skill points go and also this lvl up block sucks, guys how can u have a char u fighting agaist to have better stats and health/weapons and u can not spend the time to lvl up you char above what it allows u too, game is too much controillng instead of letting u play the game and making the game worth playing. going to play some more and see if it changes my mind but its very annoying. I will also add that with this lvl cap, u are maxed lvl going into a fight that is a higher lvl then u and better spells and others, u kill everything and u can not use your xp as u already maxed lvl then after the match it says moveing lvl up 2 lvl and u have lost all that exp u could have put into the new lvl and have to farm for another round of 15-20 mins. thank god that u can replay a char if u make a mistake by trying to aim and it does not highlight the enemy u trying to attack but attacks the wall or your own char, guys what is going on, please fix these issues. why would u change something that works to something that does not. Anyone else get a wave across the screen when u first go into a fight? it goes away after the cut screen but it is very annoying.
Rarely do I ask Steam for refunds. My library is littered with games that Ive only played for a few hours and decided it wasnt for me. But I appreciated the studio's vision and agreed it was worth the inital investment. But this game? No. I couldn't stand it, And Ive beaten 7th Saga on multiple play through. I even made it through a few hours of Xenosaga before deciding it was an slightly interactive series of cut-scenes. My experience with Tactics Ogre: Reborn. Load game. Intro cut-scene that made no sense, established zero world building. After 10 minutes of credits I finally find how to skip the cut-scene. It asks for my characters date of birth. Ugh. Zodiac based opaque damage matrix. Whatever. The game throws tarot cards at me and suggests life altering decisions. Um. What impact does this have? I now have to pledge allegiance to a Goddess. Okay, but how am I supposed to worship these Goddesses when I dont have a single idea what they stand for? FINALLY I see three characters on screen, Wait. Which one am I? Dialog. Rebellion. Kill Knight. Wait. WHYYY? Exit building. Implied I need to flank said Knight. I FINALLY GET TO MOVE! *Flank* Cut scene cuts off combat. Character I just moved gets yanked back like a yo-yo, negating any agency Ive had in the past 20 minutes. Dialog. More Dialog. Choice of dialog that doesnt seem to have any impact on events what so ever. Scene cuts to a different location and this has gone on for 10 minutes in real time by now. Force Close Game. Uninstall. Prompt for refund. This may have been okay 30 years ago, but its freaking 2020 now, and I expect an RPG to respect my time and money, as I have little of both now of days.
Now once upon a time, an old man told me a fable When the piper is gone and soup is cold in the table And when the black crow flies, to find a new destination That is the sign! Come tonight! Come to the ogre site! Come to Ogre Battle fight! Now, with that out of my system, let's get to the review. I really wasn't sure if I would give this game a thumbs up or not. I thought about quitting this game several times, and past the 30 hour mark I was straight up not having fun with it anymore, but since I had tried beating this game twice already before (once in an SNES emulator and then on the PSP re-release), I owed to myself to see this game through. Still, with almost 100 hours clocked into the game, I couldn't just give it a thumbs down. For context, this 100 hours includes the entirety of the Lawful Route, the Coda epilogue, and all the levels on all of the optional dungeons (including the excruciatingly long Palace of the Dead, with it's 100 floors). In any case. It is very much a Super Nintendo game despite the new release coat around it. It expects a lot of time from you to see all its content, and almost none of the optional dungeons are any good and they stick around for way longer than they are welcome. The story itself is quite alright - there is a big fork in the end of Chapter 1 which was a very twisty plot twist at the time and it still holds up to this day but the story never hits that high note again. Other than that, it's a very simple Tactical RPG, being one of the first of its kind and all. In that sense, it's alright. Don't expect it to be as mechanically complex like Final Fantasy Tactics (a game that is very much the real sequel to this game), this is, after all, an SNES game and one of the first of its kind. Now lets talk about the re-release. The orchestrated soundtrack is stellar and there are a couple of tracks that just straight-up made me stop and listen to the music during the fights. It's that good. What is not as good is the interface. The game _can_ be played with a keyboard and mouse but it has severe problems with it and essentially works as if you had a controller sometimes; I hardly ever got through a fight without having at least one hiccup with the interface not updating which square I had selected on the battlefield and having me confirm an order on the wrong square. The keybinds for some commands (like camera turning, something you have to do a lot in certain maps) are in a terrible place and if you rebind 'em to any button that is used for literally anything else on any other part of the interface you're gonna have problems with it. That being said, this is essentially an SNES game that's been hacked to hell and back to work with a keyboard and mouse, so I understand why it works the way it does. What I also did not appreciate was the filter that made all pixel art look a bit smudgy and I wished it had an option to disable it on the menu. The voice acting (at least in the English localisation) is also inconsistent not just in quality of delivery but also in sound mixing, and leaves a lot to be desired, although I would be lying if I said it never had its moments; still, it's more like something that It's There than a big feature of the game. The rest of the localisation is pretty good and I quite liked the way the dialogue is written and some other touches that makes it a much better experience than what you'll find in the SNES fanslation from like 300 years ago when I first played this game. Overall, this is the best way to enjoy a classic, just know that it has some Jank on the interface and it's nowhere near as good as it's sequel (FFT). If it is worth the price tag over playing the original or the PSP re-release on an emulator, however, I'm not so sure; I got it on sale for $23.99 but maybe if it was a $9.99 title this wouldn't be up for debate; at a $59.99 pricepoint, I'd say just wait for a sale or play the PSP version on an emulator.
The difficulty spikes and becomes unfun. I know its a strategy game but its so unbalanced and you are always at a disadvantage. Just play FFT instead.
