Tactical Breach Wizards

Wow, this little game was so good! The story and especially the characters are the best part of this. Dialogue is good and meaningful. The puns are funny. The murder board is stylish. And I love all the wokeness. This is really well written. The core mechanics are solid, and it actually takes some strategic thinking to make all the pieces move in a desired way. This game compares to Invisible Inc, Chimera Squad, and perhaps Into the Breach. You got the cogs turning in a logical and challenging way. Completing this was quite rewarding. Thank you for a great game!

I wishlisted this game originally because the gameplay and the theme of it appealed to me. Decided to buy but after reading a review about the gameplay I wasn't so sure about the game, seemed bit simplistic. Having finally played I can gladly report I was wrong. Sure on the surface it isn't very deep as such, however it becomes surprisingly deep and finding the best way to solve the puzzles in each mission is a delight. I thought the rewind feature would take the fun out of things but no, it simply makes it possible to try all sorts of combinations, some of which fail absolutely hillariously to lack of forethought on your part :D I have come to really like the artstyle, the characters and the music. What probably surprised me the most is the story, at it's core it's not a very complex one. However the dialogue, the little tidbits and other things make this game a delightful experience. P.s. there should definitely be more games that encourage you to defenestrate anyone and everyone you can AND has a cat as a minor character in it :)

What a fun game. Given the flexibility of your moves (and infinite undo's), it leans more heavily into puzzle than pure tactics game. The game also lets you do some ridiculous overpowered combos if you line everything up right. Also, some abilities are really overpowered in ANY tactics game, which communicates to me that the devs want me to have fun doing crazy things, which I did. And it was a lot of fun. Dialogue was fantastic, story was enjoyable, and great pacing. Highly recommend.

Amazing game! One of the best turn based strategy games I've ever payed! If you like games like X-com, you'll love this. And the story, writing, characters are all superb! 10/10 would defenstrate again

don't be afraid because it looks too puzzly for you, there's so much things you can do to finish the missions that it feels more like playing an action-rpg than a puzzle... well of course, you can try to get the most optimal way out of something too but the game does not push you to do it at all and the story, the universe, the writing, this is amazing

Fun and chill, casual and brain-picking at the same time.

Outstanding mix of puzzle and strategy, with a narrative that keeps you hooked, but doesn't get too high off its own supply. The characterisation of the key players is excellent, and the game features a ribbons-on-maps mechanic that makes it almost impossible to lose track of everyone's interests or motivations. I do feel slightly sorry for this game however. The sarcastic humour endemic to every piece of late 2010s media has made it a very tired trope by 2024. This game actually uses it in ways that make sense and is consistent with the world they're building. It does come off as a little cringe at times, but I think that's mostly because of all the bad applications of this style of writing we've seen for the last decade giving me red flags where they're not needed.
