This was pitched to me as "what if XCOM, but with wizards and without random chance?" I expected some fun tactical puzzle combat, and some goofy wizard humor, and I definitely got that. What I also got, and didn't expect, was a well written story and some surprisingly heartfelt moments. Definitely recommend!
Tactical Breach Wizards is a fun set of turn-based tactical puzzles with an attractive art style and a quirky story to go along with it. Audio is fine for the game and framerates are smooth on a modest machine by today's standards. I am quite fond of the art style, and think it will age well unlike a lot of the other games around today. The overall gameplay is good and the game is simple to get to grips with, though there is a challenge here if you set the difficulty that way. The "two action per turn" mode does tend to make the challenges trivially easy, which is nice to knock out the last few achievements that may have eluded you. I had about 30 hours of gameplay to 100%, I will likely come back at some point to try some of the more memorable levels with the difficulty all the way up but I can't see myself spending much more time with the game. At current pricing I would recommend the game without reservation for fans of turn-based tactical games, and would recommend on sale to others as a good light-hearted entry to the world of TBT/TRPGs for others.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I'm a huge fan of Tom Francis' other games, but I sat out on this one for a while. As it turns out, far too long! This ♥♥♥♥ is awesome and I should have bought it as soon as it came out. If you liked Gunpoint or Heat Signature, buy this immediately. The writing is even better here than in the previous games and it is more polished and replayable than either by a mile.
It's like if Into the Breach had a plot and a killer style. Sick.
If you like turn-based strategy games or strategy RPGs, play this absolutely first-rate turn-based tactics game. Innovative design lets you freely experiment to find optimal outcomes using all sorts of interesting abilities. Very quick pace for a turn-based game -- flows quickly, no waiting around for stuff, and the feedback is clear, crisp, and satisfying. Structured around having limitless 'undo' options so it's not stressful yet feels highly improvisational. On top of all that, it has a cast of great characters, and razor-sharp writing that's often very funny.
I loved the game. It's great for about 20-30 hours! I highly recommend it.
Fanfreakingtastic! Everything about this game stomps balls! Writing is hilarious but doesn't lay it on too thick or overstay its welcome, story ends up gracefully leaping between deep themes while maintaining levity and avoiding pretention. Super original tactics that sneakily develops exponential depth, perfect pacing and challenge escalation, all while maintaining maximum fun, start to finish. Effin masterpiece, chefs kiss. Keep doing it exactly how you're doing, y'all
great puzzles, pretty good story! especially for a puzzle game. loved the characters!!!
Absolute gem of a game! worth every penny, literally!
Top tier puzzle game. Great fun, satisfying gameplay, funny dialog. At about 15 hours to finish the main story and another 5-10 to 100% the achievements it's a good length without overstaying it's welcome. If you do want more it has workshop content for player made levels. Not a lot to fault here, well worth a look
