TACTICAL is a challenging combination of puzzle and top-down shooter. You have one objective: eliminate all of the security robots. The catch is that you must not be discovered and only shots to the back will be effective.

TACTICAL is what a crossover game between Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions and Hotline: Miami would feel like. The challenge is simple: Manipulate your soldier to eliminate robots from behind. The execution however is daunting: It's brutal, it's fast (some levels barely give you time to get in position before it's over), it requires failing mutilple times before you can come up with the proper soultion, and it is addictive. While this is, at its core, a puzzle game, you absolutely must have fast reflexes ad manual dexterity to be able to carry out the maneuvers needed to complete most missions. TACTICAL's design choices work in its favor; the minimalistic approach to graphics means information is clear and easy to digest on the fly (which is essential in this type of game). The chiptune music is repetitive and grating but, man, if that doesn't add to the massive tension felt whilst playing. Seriously: Alien Isolation doesn't get my heart rate and blood pressure as elevated as this game does. Speaking of music, it and the sound effects levels can be adjusted, and the usual graphics options are avaialable. However, while the game does remember what level you're on, don't expect to be able to save within each board (you wouldn't be able to move fast enough to do so anyway). I suspect you already know without playing if this is up your alley. While it's not something I can handle for large amounts at a time, TACTICAL is a very welcome addition to my library. The only addition I'd like to see is Workshop support. Recommended. Fun and addictive puzzle game but with added dimension to speed run. Different ways to approach each level so lots of replayability, enjoyable to try and set faster times and levels get more and more complex so there's always a chance you'll find a way someone else hasn't!
Given the fact I'm extremely anti-dextrous (using Armlet on Wraith King in DOTA2 is hard as it involves coordinating two buttons to play the game instead of one) and my only experience with puzzle games was the Portal series, this was pure torment. Unforgiving levels demanding both split-second precision and ridiculous amounts of forethought, controlling both movement and aiming at once on the keyboard, just a trainwreck taking a toll on my sanity with each failed pass at sections I thought I had figured out. Yet, in spite of the misery, I kept pressing on until I cleared chapter 3, with each stage crawled through making me briefly feel like the king of the universe. A particularly memorable one saw me blaze through half the level, shooting frozen robots as I passed them, in order to sneak to a safe spot before the timer ran out. Highly recommended.
An amazing game, the graphics aren't great, the mechanics are really hard (you get spotted very fast). Really addictive game!
PROS: Challenging Brings back memories of MGS or any sneaking games CONS: Sound is annoyingly repetitive. The song is just terrible Visual aspect is poor.
Very beautifully made game, so good that people in North Korea are defecting to South Korea to play this game.
Really enjoyed this game. Great Value. Sweet Levels. 8/10 definitely worth the purchase.
Fun little game with simple but engaging mechanics, for a very reasonable price. The puzzles are interesting, and there are great moments of satisfaction when you figure out how to beat the puzzle, and then execute it perfectly - and then you see where you are on the global leaderboard, and think, "I guess I could do it a little bit faster... Maybe I'll try it one more time"
A very well made game that lives up to its name. The leaderboard system is a great addition that encourages you to hone your tactics.
This could’ve been be a neat fast-paced stealth game, but is instead *utterly* unplayable because guard sight cones are invisible. Not to mention that guards seem to have infinitely long line of sight, even from potentially off-screen. As a result, you constantly die in utterly unsatisfying ways. My recommendation: play good 2D stealth games like Mark of the Ninja instead.
