About
Create your own original games, import custom assets, automate games with scripting, set up complete RPG dungeons, manipulate the physics, create hinges & joints, and of course flip the table when you are losing the game. All with an easy to use system integrated with Steam Workshop. You can do anything you want in Tabletop Simulator. The possibilities are endless!
Tabletop Simulator has it all. The base game includes 15 classics like Chess, Poker, Jigsaw Puzzles, Dominoes, and Mahjong. Additionally, there are thousands of community created content on the Workshop. If you’re the tabletop gaming type, we include an RPG Kit which has tilesets & furniture, as well as animated figurines that you can set up and battle with your friends, with even more options in the Chest. There’s even an option for Game Masters so they can control the table!
If you’re into creativity and prototyping, you can easily create your own games by importing images onto custom boards & tables, create custom decks, import 3D models, create scripts, and much more. You can choose to upload your creations on the Steam Workshop or share them privately with your friends.
Everyone can play Tabletop Simulator! Play a classic board game with grandma, have poker night with the guys, or start your epic RPG adventure with your crew. Play almost any tabletop game you can think of! Being a multiplayer-focused game, up to 10 players can play at any given time.
Our downloadable content (DLCs) are different from other games, as we partner with developers and publishers to bring their games into Tabletop Simulator. Each DLC is custom created with high quality assets and special themes that match their games. And best of all, only the host needs to own the DLC for everyone at the table to play.

You can throw chess pieces at your friends, play card games, and even flip the table. That's everything I really wanted.

In prison if you wanted to play video games you would have to get access to a marker, a clipboard, and a piece of paper. You mark up a simple board on the clipboard and then write on scraps of paper to form the pieces. You can play dominos, checkers, even chess if you can draw clearly, there's really no limits. If you're particularly board (get it?) you might even advance to more exotic games like mancala or go, really the sky was the limit with enough clipboard and paper. The problem with prison though is that a pen is a very useful implement, it can be used for a *variety* of purposes. Many people, as a result, become very very good at tabletop games so they wouldn't find the limits of the ever versatile pen. Me though? I lost intentionally enough times that people started realizing that maybe I wasn't actually that bad at chess. Maybe I actually did know how to play checkers and the tenth loss wasn't just a fluke. This created a new game, how can we draw every game so that there isn't a loser? Because it doesn't matter who's the loser in a game with me, it's going to be your loss and my gain. I think often about those days, I consider them my personal golden age, I was unstoppable. Although Tabletop Simulator lets you experience playing tabletop games with friends anywhere in the world, and although I do still greatly appreciate those games, it's really just not the same. I twirl a pen in my hand whenever I play trying to feel just a little bit of the thrill I did back then, win or lose. Always treasure the moment because you never know when parole is coming, and the world on the outside does not play with pen rules.
