Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.22/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's like lightning in a bottle. It doesn't (really) have mods and is held together with shoestrings, duct tape, and dreams. It still has a few bugs, too, but the moment things start going well and the dopamine kicks in, any complaints fade away. An absolutely astounding work of art that I cannot recommend enough, and I am proud to have wasted a thoroughly unreasonable amount of time playing it.
Only 7,4% of the players have an achievement for beating final encounter (at any difficulty). I myself got it only after 50 hours, when I tried every class, started understanding what's good for my specific setup, when to get greedy and when to remain cautious. This game wants you to be punished for being too comfortable or not paying attention. This game also wants to reward you for paying attention, figuring out interactions and generally doing a good job. This doesn't mean that Synthetik will be fair. It will be unfair, you won't see weapon crate for 4 floors because RNG decided so, and will need to make do with starting pistol, it will not give you upgrade shops when you capped scrap and full item loadout and only need upgrades if RNG decided so. It will make sure that if you accidentally hugged corner and shot explosive gun point blank, you leanr that this was run-ending mistake. But then you'll get it. You'll start hitting perfect active reload every time. You'll start anticipating jamming and unjam your gun before you brain fully register that dreadful ping. You'll learn to accept death not as "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RNG", but as a mistake that you won't make next time. And then you'll decapitate yourself with Ripjaw's sawblade that ricocheted right at you when you decide to try it out for the first time. You'll reach catharsis and just start going with it, vibing with awesome soundtrack, listening to the great sound design, enjoying death and destruction you bring upon the Legion. I have no closing words for this review, besides Yoko-Lagann having the most satisfying, incredibly crisp and powerful firing sound, that is only rivaled by Nemesis.

What a taste of time. Seth has forsaken me. This game was never that good to begin with. The controls are outright awful and you can't edit the controls on a controller. You can't use your keyboard and mouse if your controller is plugged in. You have to use the right analog stick to navigate throughout the entire menu. The left analog is twice as slower. You can't reduce the aiming sensitivity speed ingame on both mouse and controller. You have to change it in windows only. There is no option in the game. You idiotic developers need to go back to programming school. The aim is like skating on ice with no real control. Why are there progression locks AT ALL. This isn't a mobile game. You literally have grind daily purchasing unlocks to unlock other unlocks instead of actually playing the game. The moment I witnessed the game have multiple DLCs to buy better weapons and sliced the game into multiple titles of the same name, it made it even more confusing. The game is supposed to be "fast pace" like in the trailer only to turn into a turn based RTS, rogue simulator. I should have the ability to choose any level and play it at any time. I have no idea what these developers were hoping to accomplish. Metal Slug is a better example of a game done right and instead of games evolving they have only regressed backwards. The negative reviews began to pop up after 2020 apparently only to see that they have slowed the gameplay into a top-down gears of war. The game punishes you for the game developers incompetence, the pacing is too slow, grenade throws have to be double clicked, one to aim and one to deploy, enemies are awkward as hell getting stuck in corners of the map completely out sight only to get shot or sniped from offscreen and the stun mechanics from the enemies and environment are barely visible and unpredictable especially with all of the visual clutter from the smoke and debris covering up. There needs to be a silhouette through the walls and smoke to fix that issue. I hardly double these developers actually played their own game.
It's not a terrible game. I think the UI is clunky but the shootout aspects aren't too bad. In and of itself I'd probably have kept it. As it is I refunded and I'll get into that now - So they've got this "feature" called 'general chat' or maybe it was 'global chat', I don't remember. Anyway, what it means is that anyone who is in this game can post stuff in this chat at any time and it will pop up on your screen and the screen of anyone else who is playing. I'm not talking about mp where you're playing with a team and need to communicate. I'm talking about, it will pop up on the screen of every single other person who is playing this game no matter what they are doing. Like here you are, playing singleplayer, in an intense firefight or something. Meantime you've got this conversation between a group of complete randos going on on your screen. In fact "conversation" might be too generous a term. The chat is totally unmoderated and most of the playerbase seem to be pretty young. So, yeah. There's no setting to turn it off. If you're in the main menu you can hover over the window to close it temporarily until someone posts again, but if you're actually in game there's no way to even do that which I can see. People have complained about it on the forums and were ignored. There are other negative reviews like mine which exclusively mention this chat 'feature'. The devs ignored it all... apparently they think this is great as it encourages mp. But I mean, dude... does it not occur to them that maybe not everyone wants to play multiplayer? The game is still playable mind. But to me at least it's just really presumptuous and obnoxious. Maybe you'll not be as turned off by it and if you believe that, it might be worth looking at this. But me, I absolutely hate when devs try to impose stuff on me like that. Devs, there are places for this kind of thing. Use Discord, use the Steam Forum. Just let me play my singleplayer game in peace.
An amazing twin-stick shooter roguelike. This game doesn't screw around, specially at military bay. Also it is a spicy roguelike, with many curses, modules, upgrades that can make or break your run, i really appreciate games that let me break the power limit of the game like this one. The main problem of this game is its engine, its A GameMaker Engine Game and it shows, as this is the most complex game made on GameMaker ever. Some issues are kind of unfixable like stutters during the jet plane fight, and it does push the engine to its limit. Still, is better than synthetik 2 as of writting of this review, as that game is in sort of a development hell atm. So get this instead, you wont regret it, and you can play with a pal. I give this game a 9/10
2.5/5 The fun is in the journey not the destination Difficult game with a tough learning curve that rewards you with a boss that is practically scripted to overtake your DPS and kill the run Synthetik offers around 70+ weapons (which are fun to try) with around 10 of those weapons being a viable option to progress with as everything else doesn't do nearly enough damage to shielded Combat Railgun Tanks let alone the final boss which i HAVE to discuss - the final boss ARMAGEDDON is a DPS bullet sponge that requires you to kill in under 2 minutes or less, you could have a overpowered Gatling gun that shoots 80-bullets/sec compared to a nailgun and the progress bar advances all the same as you are barraged with every enemy type at the same time and whats more discouraging is most players use a glitch to mess with the enemy A.I to have a fighting chance 😐 Speaking of players, more often than not I'm running into Unstable players that tell you what to do down to the micro movement or get barraged with slurs and killed 😐 -Some classes are really lacking whereas others like the Engineer are nearly OP in every run (despite getting shredded at the final boss) -The Headshot ping alone is worth a star ⭐ -The abundance of items and the synergies are neat ⭐ If on Sale it can be worth it but if not just save your $20 for somethingelse
