I remember playing this previously on a friend's system. It's part of what made me want to get a VR system. But.... if I'd actually gotten to the same 'place' in the game as I am now, I'd have probably been put off getting into VR. The music is annoying after about 5 minutes in each level. The puzzles vary from reasonable to obtuse. I honestly ended up stuck in the pirate ship, trying to figure out how to get a door open. The game was no help in my being stuck and when I looked online for help, the closest I got was a "never mind I figured it out". I also ran into the controllers issue and had to resort to the developer method of 'editing the app data file' to bypass it. If I could request a refund, I probably would, but I was sadly determined to try and solve the issue. Edit: For anyone else stuck on the pirate ship - it involves a sword and a cannon. I had to watch someone else have the exact same problem with a Dev response to get that solution.
7 out of 10 A mixture of logical and sometimes tricky puzzles as the game throws some obscure puzzles at you which can be quite confusing. Depending on your temprement it can be annoying while you have those wtf moments in the game. For me, I did get frustrated with some of the puzzles, but that's me. The logical puzzles we're fine and enjoyable, but I'm not great at lateral puzzles. Not the games fault but I had a expectation during the game of the puzzle logic which then changed completely and threw me. Gameplay is around 4-5 hours and no replaybility. Escape the room games lack value in this respect, so it depends if your willing to pay the ticket price for a one trick pony.
No więc zacząłem.
Great game, good puzzles though goes from eventually understandable to near impossible really quick, but it is really fun!
This game has charmed me immediately. Perfect VR controls, and you can interact every possible way with the environment. Awesome graphics and feeling, and the puzzles difficulty is just right. Publish any dlc for it and I will buy it as well :)
The world feels kind of flat, as in the assets/world interaction feels a little underdeveloped. While still worth the purchase, it's probably the longest VR room escape title out there, there are some immersion breaking moments when there are random items on tables I am unable to pick up. That said, it is miles ahead of the other $5 or $10 room escape titles out there.
Immediately starts off with an unplayable level for the Quest 2 (required manual savegame editing, even if easy to do) and gets tedious very quickly. The story isn't explained very well other than you are going to different points in time to fix/change outcomes (not entirely sure)?? Some of the puzzles take a lot of going back and forth with them becoming almost unsolvable (dumb luck performing some alignments). Had potential, but the graphics are just "meh" while not really providing much sense of accomplishment. There is also a long pause for me where the game basically freezes up for about 20 seconds before showing the level in the VR headset. Just not very fun and becomes a chore to do anything.
it is good escape room game and quite long, especially in pirate ship
