Survival: Fountain of Youth

I LOVE this game!!! I was looking for an island type survival game kinda like sims 2 castaway that I loved for years and this is by far waaay more amazing! I love the slow pace and learning everything! Just make sure you watch YouTube videos for tips and tricks or you will get frustrated, and go slow, it’s not a fast beat kinda game, pretty sure it just never ends, I’ve played like 50 hrs and I’m still on the first island just going through every inch of it and exploring and learning! Might even be my fav game ever like this! I played the free demo for about two hrs and instantly bought it, downloaded it and it was suuuuuper slow, like not even playable, got a refund and played the demo another hour and thought I’ll just try again, bought it again and downloaded it and it runs just as smoothly as the demo! So if you’re having troubles with that maybe just delete the game and redownload it again!

pour résumer ce que je pense du jeu c'est laborieux, tout est laborieux c'est épuisant, je fatigue derrière mon écran, on galère a trouver les ressources les plus basique, les outils on une durabilité ridiculement courte, et le personnage qu'on joue ... mais je comprend pas il est censé être malade pour bouger comme ça ?, on galère vraiment a bouger, la barre d'endurance c'est n'importe quoi, enfaite j'ai l'impression que tout les curseurs ont été poussé pour ralentir la progression ... et puis en dehors de ça le jeux est super vide enfaite. Après j'ai vu qu'il était apprécié donc j'imagine que y'en a que ça éclate, le jeux a de bons points. mais si quand je meurt je me dit que c'est une bonne occasion de faire autre chose plutot que de relancer machinalement c'est mauvais signe

Great game. You progress at a reasonable rate, and there's always things to do. It is genuinely challenging, and surviving can feel impossible at times. The impact of a 'death' is long-lasting as well as the immediate issue of losing all your items, as you also lose some of your maximum health capacity. This definitely makes it more engaging. Mapping is fun, and very satisfying when you find a new mapping point and see things start to emerge. The islands are large enough to really need exploring, but small enough that you can memorise locations fairly easily. New things are discovered on each island, both resources and additional story elements. Graphics are fine, though I personally could have done without the more gruesome remains of hunting being shown. You can't progress without killing some animals, which was disappointing but makes sense in the context. The storyline is a little confusing at first, but starts to make sense later on, and has a fun twist. I found the animations a bit silly at first, but soon got used to them. There is a lot of running between locations, as fast travel is only available between islands or on the shore, not within the island itself. For some bigger islands, that means a lot of back and forth to try and get resources where you need them. Nothing lasts forever, so you are constantly managing what you have built and what needs repairing or replacing.

This is a well balanced game of exploration. Historically it's silly but as a game experience it'll be rewarding for anyone.

Would like to give a positiv review, but game is trash in combat aspect and a lot of survival aspects. crafting is nonsense.

一直闪屏，玩其他的游戏却没问题，解决不了

Das Game macht mega viel Spaß. Ich hab es jetzt wieder neu angefangen, weil mir so viel daran gefällt und ich so viel noch nicht gesehen hab. Das Crafting ist einfach und intuitiv. Man kann echt kreativ werden beim Bauen. Auch der Survival-Aspekt ist hier gut integriert. Alles, was du tust, hat Konsequenzen, alles will dich töten. Das gibt immer wieder neue Herausforderungen und man fiebert manchmal regelrecht mit seinem Charakter mit. Allein der Kampf gegen ein Wildschwein kann hier schon fatal enden. Auch die Ladezeiten sind echt super, Die Performance ist gut und Bugs hab ich kaum gehabt. Seit dem Release bis jetzt haben die Entwickler fleißig weiter daran gearbeitet. Ich werde definitiv noch nicht so schnell wieder davon loskommen. Der einzige Minuspunkt ist für mich persönlich der fehlende Coop-Modus. Aber dafür kann man ja zum Zocken mit Freunden auch Green Hell spielen. Fountain of Youth ist definitiv ein Schatz!
