Pretty fun, actually, pretty well past fun. Ive had more fun playing this zombie survival than most other AAA games. youd think the poly visuals would take away from the zombie/scary experience, until your flashlight/night vision batteries die halfway through a bunker or other POI and you have 3 shells left, hahaha! the customization of the experience is good too, which type of zombies do ya wanna fight? fast like World War Z, slow shamblers from George A. Romero films? do you want to take significantly less damage to the body? how thick do you want their population? do you want them to scale with your level? You can customize your experience however you want. Its a great game, bette if you watch a 10 minute introduction video on YT. Only trouble I had was figuring out how to load mags(drag ammo over the magazine), and keybindings because im on SteamDeck. I dropped all the settings to low/med and i havent seen much fps drop, or atleast didnt notice it. Awesome game, one developer which has its own pros/cons. but ive been playing the game in its experimental .8 version which i recommend, and ive put more than enough hours worth the $11 i spent on the game. 9/10 all day, hands down, love this game. Also, plenty of good building aspects, or you can just throw a door on the in game buildings and start dropping storage boxs.

This is my first time posting a review for a game, and it's only because I have really high hopes for it. The last major update was almost a year ago, and the dev team has said development slowed down because of some "game-breaking" technical issues, which is understandable. But at the same time, the game has been in development for around 4 years now. The only reason I'm bringing this up is because I really want to see this game succeed. The zombie survival genre keeps getting bigger, and eventually it's going to have to compete with games like State of Decay 3 whenever that finally comes out. I'm just worried SurrounDead is going to end up sitting in the back of everyone's Steam library and slowly be forgotten, especially when bigger zombie games start coming out and there isn't much happening in terms of major updates or improvements. Overall, it's a great game and I've had a lot of fun with it. I just hate seeing a game with this much potential lose momentum.

fantastic game, would love multiplayer!!

One of the most fun and addicting games i've played in years, a must have in every library. Played it through 2 times already, i'm sure there will be a few more! This game is soooo much fun, the guns, the building, all of it. Once you get established in the game, i recommend cranking up the zombie and bandit spawns to the fullest allowed. that will make bunkers and POIs more fun, and give you a reason to use all that ammo you are stock piling! IF THIS GAME WAS 100$, I WOULD STILL BUY IT!! must have.
