The only dev fell off
I absolutley love this game. I haven't had any bugs or issues so far. The only thing I long for is a Multiplayer element and con.troller support. Once those are added this is a 9-10 game all day.

zombies
abandoned, Ill take back my downvote if the game actually starts getting updates again
I got SurrounDead for cheap during the Summer Sale and went in with low expectations, was pleasantly surprised it's largely enjoyable. Albeit, a little bare bones. The art style is simple but has charm, the exploration is nice, the map has a good size with solid amount of POIs, decent selection of guns and armors and so on. I really liked how you could tow functional vehicles and that they are somewhat rare, I'd tow everything I'd stumble apon back to my base and ended up with a parking lot of different trucks and buggys/emergency vehicles. The basebuidling is pretty limited but there's enough to keep you busy for awhile. Oddly enough I think the weather and storm system is probably the strongest part of this game, when you get trapped in a thunder storm while clearing out some military base in the middle of the night, it's a cool vibe. Rain actually makes puddles which is neat and the fog effect is pretty spooky. The audio is the main aspect I had issues with, the game is just way too quiet, had to crank the volume past 130% to hear zombies and footsteps but then something else like wolves or random helicopter event would blow my ears up, balance is all over the place. There's also a lack of audio for actions like lockpicking and most cars have the same sound, guns and weather are okayish though. For a single player game there's virutally no quests or main story type of deal, so it's mostly just a sandbox which is fine but without any pvp or coop feels kinda empty and repetitive at times. There's also not much for enemy variety pretty basic. Events and zombies also reset when you load/resume a save. So if you have to go handle something IRL and come back that event will be gone and zombies you cleared respawned, not a huge fan of that. Performance wise it's mostly great , had some random minor fps drops during bandit events sometimes, it supports Ultrawide and doesn't rely on upscaling and whatnot runs good native, no crashing or stuttering, love to see it. If you like open world zombie games it holds it own, nothing groundbreaking honestly but it's great value and has more good moments than bad. 7.5/10

abandoned garbage
No more updates for over a year now. it was promising but looks like its abandoned now. I will gladly change this review if there's more updates.
